Mine is reading current with open terminals.... how do you calibrate that reading? DONE THAT, after an automatic calibration: dead short on the output terminals (+) and (-), Current Compensate... waited until the unit finished. I used Man Curr to correct the small current values, up to 5A. I didn't touch the offset. Now my PSU reads 0.00 when the output is ON with no load (open). Still I don't see myself using this Power Supply for long, it's LOUD as hell with no load.

Ele mede queda de tensão de diodo perfeitamente? no XDM1041 tem analises mostrando que tem problema que sempre mede para menos do valor real com margem de erro considerável para quem precisa de precisão, por exemplo um diodo retificador com queda em torno de 0,600 seria normal valores com 0,610 ate0,620 ou 0,590 mas o XDM1041 da valores sempre para menos como 0,550 ou 0,540, esse XDM2041 acontece isso tambem? dizem que o software e hardware é praticamente o mesmo por isso estou pensando se compro ou não pois uso muito escala de diodo para verificar quedas de tensão então isso me prejudicaria.

I purchased an XDM2041 meter which shows version V1.5.0 on the information screen. My general impression is the meter is good on basic DC accuracy, within 0.1% or better. The display screen is very to read even at an angle. AC measurement accuracy is pretty good between 25 Hz and 2 KHz. The frequency counter needs about 340 mV RMS to give stable readings. Insulation is Category 2, which is acceptable for a bench meter. The AC ranges work as expected for inputs 5.00 mV AC RMS or more, for any waveform. Strange behavior is that when the AC input is 4.99 mV RMS or less, the display simply reads 00.00 mV AC. I presume that may have been done to mask deterioration of accuracy, however there are many times in bench work that knowing that a small signal is present is more important than absolute accuracy. It would have made more sense to put reduced-precision indicator on the screen for small signals rather than to blank to reading 00.00. I checked the situation with a precision signal source with Fluke 8060A and Fluke 87 meters which gave usable readings of 4.99 mV +/- rated accuracy while the XDM2041 only indicated 00.00. All three meters indicated 5.00 mV RMS properly. I have contacted Owon support to verify, and I am waiting to hear back. If the small signal AC behavior can be addressed, I would recommend recommend the XDM2041 as an affordable entry level bench meter.

I did hear back from Owon within 24 hours of e-mailing. The Owon engineer said that blanking below 5.00 mV on the AC scale is expected behavior. I suggested to Owon that it would be helpful to place a reduced precision indicator on the display and allow measurements anyway. The readings seem quite stable down to 5.00 mV. Unless there is instability for very low inputs, less precise measurements would still be useful. I am specifically thinking of the situation of trying to achieve a null in a balance adjustment where the absolute magnitude is not as important as making the reading as close to zero as possible. The XDM2041 is a pretty good value for the price and I recommend it.

I have a question, if you don't mind. I just bought the OWON XDM2041. This is my first bench-top DMM. I am attempting to ready DC millivolts. All settings seem to be correct. Readout displays "mVDC". Leads are in the proper position. The readout displays around 1 mV (jumps up and down just a bit, but right around 1 mV). When I hook up the leads to my hand-held multimeter I get readings of around 400 mV, which is what I expect. Am I missing a setting? Thanks very much!

Pura pinta. No mide valores menores a 1nF. Tiene mucho error en resistencias menores a 1Ohms. Las mediciones son muy inestables. Tiene problemas para medir continuidad. Un multímetro de ADORNO MUY pero MUY CARO.

@@josegmatera77 Tengo un Uni-t Ut803 lo uso más seguido, para mi es mejor, los contras son 2: 1- Llave de encendido en la parte trasera y al regresar de stand-by tienes que apretar mas de una tecla.

@@alejandrojorgedepaoli3708 Justo estaba viendo un review del modelo que mencionas, al parecer tiene un conteo actualizado de 3 Segundos (que me parece poco), tienes razón, el encendido esta en la parte trasera, pero es algo que no preocupa. Por otra parte, hablan mucho sobre los benchtop Vichi, tienen mas cuentas, mas funciones, mas económico que el UniT.. pero todavía no me da confianza..

@@josegmatera77 Al OWON lo desarmé es pura caja, con el el 20% del gabinete le alcanza bien, o sea que podría ser un multímetro de mano con una fuente de 220VCA. AL UNIT también si le sacas el porta pila. Ha, otro problema del OWON es que cada tanto al encenderlo tienes que esperar hasta un 1minuto para que se encienda, yo no lo compraría ni en pedo, ya lo tengo de clavo.

Me llama la atención que el OWON se parece mucho a la interface de un Osciloscopio que acabo de comprar, me refiero al GDS-1102A-U
