As one who lost vision later in life, it is a shock and a new challenge. But as you showed in this journey; it's a new chapter. Keep positive as best you can. We can do what we want, just with a few extra steps. Admiration for the acceptance and drive to keep crushing new challenges.

Thank you for the kind words. Just learning to do old things in a new way :)

@@LegallyBlindFireHawk Absolutely!! Early struggles are re-learning tech we're already using, but in a more accessible way. Aside from magnification, had no idea about talkback or accessibility tools. Sad thing is I used to build PCs for people, both hardware and software; and had to totally learn how to use it as I do now...challenge excepted and complete lol

For a friend of the family… gofund.me/b91916a2 Hello, everyone, my name is Anastasia and I am raising funds for my mom Svetlana, who is fighting a battle with an aggressive form of HER2 positive breast cancer. My mom received her diagnosis in December of 2023, at age 45. Learning of this has dramatically changed the lives of my mother, myself and my brother who was 13 at the time. Being a single mother of two and not able to work due to the debilitating side effects of the aggressive chemotherapy regimen and two surgeries compounded the physical and emotional stress. All three of us had to make huge adjustments to figure out how to best cope with this diagnosis, and how to support our mom through the next steps. The first step of the journey was one of the most difficult ones - she had to receive a bilateral mastectomy. Words cannot describe the difficulty of getting through that surgery, and the challenge of the recovery afterwards; getting her breasts removed was not only physically draining, but it was mentally very traumatic. When my mom had recovered from the surgery and was barely strong enough, she had to start going through chemotherapy; each of the 6 sessions lasted up to 8 hours. Every three weeks, she had to go through a hellish cycle of dealing with harsh side effects, having to fight through body aches and fatigue. But completing chemo was just another step in this fight. The next challenges are for her to receive her reconstructive surgery as well as targeted therapy for an entire year, following by hormonal therapy. The medical charges from these doctor visits, chemo sessions, and surgeries add up to a huge sum. We ask you for your help: Any little bit will help us take care of the bills, and it will help with Svetlana’s recovery by reducing financial stress. In a battle with cancer, no one should fight alone. Let’s rally for my awesome mom and show her she’s got a whole village behind her! Through every obstacle that has been thrown her way, Svetlana has remained indescribably strong, level headed, and has had grace and gratitude the entire time. She’s never played the victim with the cards she’s been dealt. Thank you so much for reading my mom's ongoing story, and I hope you will consider donating. My mom has a dream: once she has made a full recovery, she plans to give back to the community and support other women who are fighting breast cancer by using her own experience as a guideline to help. Through donations, we can help ease the overwhelming financial and emotional stress of fighting breast cancer, so Svetlana can focus more on her recovery and time with her children. If you are not in a position to donate, I would greatly appreciate if you could share my mom's story with your friends and family.

@LegallyBlindFireHawkАй бұрын
@@Eliot_Visuals.13 Greetings, Yes, look down when you get to your room. They have specific patterns in the carpet based on what wing and floor you’re on. They also are moving in a certain direction from the elevators. Knowing the patterns on the floor is a game changer at that resort. Also, you should definitely try the ice cream shop because it is outstanding. It’s actually pretty cool experience to sit on the patio with ice cream and watch their light show. Lastly, they have a bar crawl indoors which even if you don’t drink is pretty cool to go visit so you should definitely go explore and find that. Hope you have a blast!
