yes you are right, in my opinion there is a nicer hapishord in the Motif XS. Here you have it from 4.40 min of the movie

'they' turned both Integra and Atelier organs into a 1-manual keyboard. The real value of a VR becomes obvious when accessing its 'hidden germs'

At about 2:40 in the video, sounds like you are testing overdrive/distortion ... the audio starts crackling with a very "digital clipping" sound. Is that an artifact of the recording or does the VK8 really crackle like that?

Just brought a mint condition p255, it may be old but it plays so well, cost less than a new p145 and feels so much better to play, people discard these due to age, but this is a class instrument it really is, grest playing buddy 👏

I tried one of these, for the price it feels rather cheap. The samples are actually pretty nice but the lack of velocity layers and dynamics absolutely kills it, it's either loud and punchy or soft but with the same dynamics, as if they just lowered the volume instead of using another sample. I'm probably biased towards the Motif XF though.

Hello, I am trying to use my Vk-8 as a controller as well. I have it hooked up to a sound module. I am getting sound but no velocity differential. It’s all just one volume. I’ve checked out a bunch of midi settings on it but can’t seem to find anything that will give me velocity. Any ideas?

good question, there is a split option, but I don't know if it applies only to the Hammond module. I don't have Roland anymore, so I don't remember

The key not sounding can be easily fixed in a local repair shop or by changing its internal "rubbers" or "springs". It happens to all keyboards after years of use
