I’ve made changes to the truck. I still own it and run it. That engine was a beast! It liked running lean. It is was remotely rich it was a turd. It pulled as hard as a .28 The i think the intake port timing was a smidge off. But the exhaust port timing was spot on!! Unfortunately i never added a timing wheel to this so i don’t know the degrees.

Nothing like a good ole solid mounted engine with the degree wheel and pointer to verify timing! Brushless guys have no clue how much we put into going faster! Glad to hear you still have the truck! If you want to build another, Robin still has the gen5 vbs in-stock, just in case you didn't know! 🤜🤛

I find they are less likely to hook any ricks or ridges on the track.

....what is going in with that lst2? My lst2 dosent look quite like that. You've got the shocks laid way over and the rear shocks are behind the rear a arms and shock tower. I have questions 1 how did you do that ? 2. Is there a benifit ? 3. How does the truck do with 1 speed instead of 2? My 2 speed has tons of problems . I am very sorry if the answers to these are painfully obvious as it is very late at night for me but I stumbled across this and am intrigued.

Do you still make these? I cannot find any kind of single speed conversion. The losi version was discontinued. I tried to order one off your website but it says out of stock. I'd like to order one if possible so I can eliminate the 2 speed setup on my LST2 brushless conversion. Thanks. Mike

The purpose of this video is to show people the mod. My youtube page my choice... The engine was warmed up to 200 degrees with an engine warmer.

@@respirologyrc I built a thunder the first time around it was shiny and basically fell apart so i jumped on a group centalmaxx on facebook bought some stuff and rebuilt it. ,but the level your building and thg he fact you actually run yours is unreal ,the parts you use are crazy expensive, I give you props

Yes, the stuff is expensive, but if you are really hard on parts, it's a worthy investment. I kept going through regular aftermarket stuff at an alarming pace. As soon as I bucked up and bought the UE stuff, I found I was just out running the truck, not buying parts anymore!

The bumpers are VBS bumpers that had worn down from racing. So i shaped them so that i could use lst2 bumpers and jounces. They work really well and aid in the distribution of spreading the impact so that the aluminum doesn't have to absorb it.

They are called "Strobe Limiters" , very hard to find and not needed. I had them because as i was learning to race i was blowing the ball ends on my shock shafts. So they were used as a type of aid to help me learn how to race. Now that i no longer crash and tumple i no longer needed them and got rid of them. Hope this helps.

Who makes the limiting straps for the suspension. Was that a UE part? I am also building a VBS Thunder, Racer X, Tranny w/ Super 6 and OTB 1st 2nd and top shaft, New Mach 427 BB, UE 6mm CVD's, Monoblock, UE supershocks, DD Roll Bar, Mugen Wing w/ Pro Line H. Downforce wing. I just can't find those limiting straps!!!

I'm during assembly of my SuperMaxx. Also Thunder chassis,+ monoblock robinson gearbox Picco engine etc, but RPM arms, later maby FLM arms, but I must think about that Great SuperMaxx !!!

The engine was warmed up before i did the revs. For someone to ask whats so "Super" about this truck obviously shows your lack of knowledge regarding this vehicle and BB MT's.
