I just built on console. I went real deep thinking I could catch sharks. I used bear meat and I did catch 2 trout but raw fish meat don't work and other then the trout caught a lot of garbage fish

@@AidansFantasySports Some rivers naturally generate with better terrain thats for sure.. I usually run up and down it to find the area where there are the least amount of curves.

I tried it on console and you don’t get anything good. You should wait until the bait system is updated. I now have this akward looking base that has no function to it… at least fishing still works. The traps were only helpful in getting me bait.

You have to be near by to trigger it, but if you just collect it every time you depo you can "passively" farm a decent amount, which is how Blooprint opted to utilize this farm.

ocean is fine, but river has slightly higher scrap yield :)

Trying to keep exploits private so only you have an advantage is the same mentality cheaters have. It should either be public knowledge or patched

@@Kanzuke Everyone exploits game mechanics, even if it's a simple offset bunker. It's not akin to cheating and people spend months / years testing for exploits only for youtubers to sell them out for 5 seconds of fame. I get where you're coming from but if you ever discover something game breaking you'll understand my point.

Going into the video settings, you can change the playback speed to be a little slower if that helps

I don't see why not, it worked with every other mission. I guess if you're already farming the ocean you might as well get some extra pumps. I personally just don't use shotguns that often.

@@tamura77Rust I have tried multiple times maybe a year ago to repeat pump quest on the 2nd day of wipe when I play snow ball wipes and it didn't let me take it, but ima try it again now that I've seen your video, if the pump quest is repeatable it's literally game changing for snow balling on oilrigs/labs.

@@antonio20123 I meant you can't catch sharks with fish traps, and the whole point of this setup is staying close to the shore to maintain the traps. If you really wanted to you could build a base on the coast and water and build a LONG bridge between the two but it's not worth IMO
