Hi guys, I have an older Sony CDplayer the CDP-215 without a remote. If I connect it to this receiver, will it be possible to operate via the receivers remote? The older receiver models had a power point to connect the plug into the receiver. Now this one has everything but a plug... THE CDP has only classic line-outs, no optical nothing...

This is not a 3d receiver.. You can't send a 3d signal to your TV with this, you're going to have to connect your PS3 directly to the TV and send a optical to the receiver.

I have same reciever, just get two HDMI 1.4 cables.One connect PS3 to reciever then second to the TV.

I have this Rec. Its been great until now. I can't get it to work with 3D. I run HDMI from PS3 ,out to REC,and then out to TV. It just keeps turning off. Anybody no how i can get this all to work?? I'am thinking maybe a HDMI splitter??? DOn"T know??HELP

@13elsauz this is a reciever( also sound amplifier), so you'll need to connect your tv to the reciever via hdmi(sound and pic), optical(sound only) or coaxial. Then you hook up some speaker to the amp with some speaker cable. And now your sorted

I just hooked mine up and I love it---HOWEVER I do have a few questions. 1) the machine kicks out alot of heat from the bulb. should I blow a fan on it? At this time it is not mounted. Can I blow a fan on the air intake side to help cool the bulb down when I turn it off? 2) I am still trying to adjust my screen on the wall. the projector is about 15 feet away from the wall... any suggestions?

@BlueCollarVideo I've seen paint is better for movies and gaming, better contrast, I've just sold my Da-lite screen, I prefer paint.

Where is the AUX cable connector on the back? the manual is so confusing and so is the amp menu. typical sony.

hey the speakers from my tv just mest up , i have this reciver , so if i get an optical cable and run it from my tv to the reciver would it work? or do i have 2 buy a new tv?

optoma gt720 headphone jack audio trouble!! Please help. I tried and plug the headphone jack to headphones and speakers and the sound still plays on projector and the sound that is come out of the headphones or speakers are very low. Can you try this on your projector and let me know what your does. Thanks for the help and I liked your video.

@josephali7 Yes it would be great... You would have a huge screen so it depends on the size of your wall with this projector not how far away it is :D.

I bought this one yesterday at Best Buy for $152 (open box special) I have my XBOX360 and computer hooked up to it. Using opitcal connection for XBOX 360. Works and sounds great. It is fun playing games in surround sound.

@Vyson03 i now have hd66 same as gt720. by the way dont forget to pre order that 3d xl adaptor which will work for ps3 3d mode. cant wait to watch 3d movies and 3d games on ps3.

@ji3200 no rainbow effect here!! actually i painted mt screen in the basement and its awesome! I;m using the pj in std mode in hopes of the lamp lasting longer. so far so good!!

While it supports 1080p it is a native 720p projector. Important difference...
