Hi there Chuck. i have downloaded your course and done it and made my own calcs too!! copying yours as i needed the confidence. please tell me, for the market neutral strategy, when yu by a call, do you wait for the price to go up before purchasing the PUT? or do you buy it a few weeks out, and in advance? or how do you get your calc too work? the TNA spread is quite wide. does this not means that my stock will have to move quite a bit before making a profit?

This strategy as it stated here works best only in stagnant to SLIGHTLY bullish or SLIGHTLY bearish trend. if ERX or TNA goes upwards, this strategy has big downside, because your cost basis goes up significantly. I backtested this using thinkOrSwim between July and September 2017, returns were 0%. Buying back the short call increases the cost basis... So, please do understand the entire mechanics before deploying this kind of strategy.
