You just blocked the horse's back... The horse is not at all ready for this. (Swiss-trained in the sixties old rider). Her arms are now rigid.. the horse. Her lower leg is not ready for spurs either?

Bringing my previously western horse to a double rein pelham. She does the opposite. Elevates (correctly, from behind) on the snaffle and drops into LDR with the curb. I really don't want that. We did the first session where I have really actually used the curb rein today and any pressure is an immediate drop of the head and behind the vertical. After about ten minutes O was able to help her understand that I want her to come from behind, and go forward into the snaffle contact and elevate with the curb. We have ridden about twenty times with just the snaffle part of the pelham and almost no curb, so I know she really likes it. Any tips? She does this really weird round canter with any curb engaged. Like her body is super round, but she's so down hill and dropping her withers. Wonder if I need more impulsion to help stop her from dropping in front. But she did do an amazing turn on the haunches.

Love the way she rides! Soft, allowing. Very little hand. The way we should all be taught from the beginning. This overflexion crap is unnecessary. Thank you Chrissa

The shoulder hip to heal comment I think is interesting was putting my ruler on the pictures of the best riders in the buisness and discovering that the line changes and wondered about it and decided must not mean exactly as it is said . Also watching people reach for the stirrups that are to long and the body insecure and uncomfortable wondered how could that be right. Gòod interesting informative approach.
