Superb presentation of Raag Darbari Kanada! Legendary marahum ustad Amir Khaun's famous composition 'Kin bairan kan bhare ...' played beautifully!! Accompaniment on tabla is equally good!!!

UAJT ke hath me swar tha aur uska vajaha Munir Khan the. Ustad Habibuddin ki vo ijjat karte the. Ahmedjan aur Habibiddin me farak ye hai ki Habibuddin ne purab ki talim nahi li thi. Bas kayi din vo Munir Khan ke pas sikhe. Ahmedjan ke table me rachnonki relchel thi. Ek rachna vo 3 se 4 minute se jyada bajaya nahi karte. Aur vahi unke nam hone ka vahah bhi. Dusri bat ye hai ki Habibuddin tayari ke piche pade the. Is vajaha se unke tableme mithas nahi hai. Yahi bat Nizamuddin Khan ki bhi hui.

এই গানটির লেখক ও খুব সম্ভত সুরকার হলেন রামনিধি গুপ্ত (১৭৪১-৬ এপ্রিল ১৮৩৪) সাধারণত নিধু বাবু নামে পরিচিত, বাংলা টপ্পা সঙ্গীতের একজন মহান সংস্কারক। তার পূর্ব পর্যন্ত টপ্পা এক ধরনের অরুচিকর গান হিসেবে বিবেচিত হতো । তার গানের ভক্তরা অধিকাংশই সেকালের ধনাঢ্য সম্ভ্রান্ত ছিলেন। (Source Wikipedia).

Technically ustad Rais khan was the best player of instrument called sitar. I don’t give a shirt who became popular as Sitar player in the world, mind you only people who are not genuine in their work need public recognition.

Very versatile tabla player who had an unparalleled repertoire of GAT COMPOSITIONS..He and Afaq Hussein Khan Saheb Shaped the tabla of the RESPECTED LUCKNOW GHARANA... As a note... I enjoy UstadJi’s playing : sound , wajan , speed. It is beyond words…Kyaa baat hai 🙏🏽🙏🏽♥️♥️ Im not sure how the commentary with all the negative overtones …is helping / achieving anything. Sounds like he’s definitely got a chip (or many) on his shoulder…and we don’t know the exact background of that. Perhaps it’s justified , perhaps not . Either way it brings a dark negative could over what is out of this world playing and knowledge sharing. As far as the “playing only the ‘original’ way” per his own experience and everything else being “incorrect” I vehemently disagree with that. Pranam to Ustad Ji and contribution to Tabla / music 🙏🏽🙏🏽♥️♥️ Hope he found some more positivity in the afterlife
