Plain bearing is the type of bearing, and it is the name that describes it.Plain bearing bearings rely on a lubricating film, unlike ball bearings.

@@LefterisMetallas194828301121 you don't need that it is what it is .You will never need to find where the oil goes .The basic diagram is only to understand which parts are lubricated with the oil. We are just operators not designers.

For sure when you have such problem a maintenance is required.First of all Inepuld start with checking the control air quality and starting air quality the pressures of proper pressures are keeper at all times. Then looking to the valve it self . Before disassemble any parts check that you have a spare.In case that it is malfunctioning emergency operation can be used.

Saying deviation, we understand the difference that has the higher cylinder with the lower temperature of the cylinder and not the diffence of the mean of all cylinders, Right?

It is cylinder from cylinder comparison but also a comparison of the mean. We can use both to see how the engine is performing and what the values are.

What we need is positive pressure more fans and just . Modern ships have this monitoring system so you can what the pressure at engine room .Try to have as rule 3 fans intake and one uptake in the purifier room to have a proper flow .But this also depends the design of engine room and fans available.

Hlo Sir. What a great video thank you.. I just want to ask u something regarding 946 s flex hfo purifier.. I opened cleaned changed rectangular ring and box it up back. It ran without any alarm but after 24 hours it started giving alarm pt5 outlet pressure low. I tried to desludge and started again without any problem then after 4 hours same alarm. I opened up the top housing and saw nothing worng with the pairing tube, But after inspection of paring tube this alarm is coming again.. During initial start pt5 is 2.5-2.4 bar then goes upto 3.1 bar but after sometime it agin goes to 0 bar. I checked local and pannel pt5 reading is the same. I'll share the parameters Pt1- .21 Pt4-1.68 Pt5- 2.4 ( then goes to 0) Feed-1.4m3 Feed temp 98°c Fuel type- vlsfo density 972.5 Awaiting your response

Thanks 🙏 so much for your valuable feedback . What’s your advice? When you have deviation more than 50 degrees but you have already checked fuel injector , but you don’t have spare part for pump . How you can temporary solve the issue with deviation?

Try as much as possible to not exceed these limits that means keep the load of the engine as low as possible switch off diesel generator purifier and main lub oil purifier so you can already save some kw .If you have any generator which is stand by better use that one .This is only a temporary solution.

Explain please 🙏 proper procedure how need to adjust exhaust gas temperature and pressure and when it need to be done . A lot of Ch Engineers like to see only 5-10 degrees deviation. How did you do it during your time on board , what difficulties you have faced during that time ? What things need to be considered?

I wanna to add few words in regarding high temperature bolts wich are usually fixed on exhaust gas manifold and if you gonna replace them with ordinary cast iron bolts it will be more worst in future to remove them !

Dude, most of your energy table is wrong. Hydrocarbon fuels are a combination of efficient (hydrogen) and inefficient (carbon) so the net energy content of the fuel is equal to the mass * hydrogen energy * efficiency or, mass * hydrogen energy - inefficiency. When calculating the net energy content of a hydrocarbon fuel the inefficiency must be removed first or we will get the wrong answer. Methane is 25.13% hydrogen and 74.87% carbon so, 1 * 120 * 25.13% = 30.156 MJ/kg Gasoline is 13% hydrogen and 87% carbon so 1 * 120 - 87% = 15.6 MJ/kg 500 GJ = 500,000 MJ so 500,000 ÷ 120 = 4166.666 kg of hydrogen.

At the very top of your list It shows the heat value for 1 kg (1000 grams) of hydrogen at 120 MJ Every item on the list has the same mass, so every item on the list should have the same heat value, except every item actually has a different mass percentage of hydrogen and carbon. Methane contains 251.3 grams of hydrogen + 748.7 grams of carbon, so 251.3 * 0.120 = 30.156 MJ Gasoline contains 130 grams of hydrogen + 870 grams of carbon, so 130 * 0.120 = 15.6 MJ The Toyota Mirai holds 5.6 kg of hydrogen 5.6 * 120 = 672 MJ. To make gasoline we need to add 5.6 ÷ 0.13 − 5.6 = 37.4769 kg of carbon. If we add 37.4769 kg of carbon we get 43.07 kg of gasoline, but no additional energy. If we add 37.4769 kg of hydrogen we will run into bit of a problem!

Max depends the load of the engine and design. There is books for diesel generator that shows trials and loads applied take a look on them.

Just drain the air line .You need to find why oil is ending there .Maybe there is another problem related with compressed air system.

@@Adventure-Story sir the line to the control air manifold is clear and those are drained also at regular interval. But in the pneumatic controller air is having oil inside. Compressor also checked and no oil carry over observed
