Warren G used this music track for "Regulate". Here's the story of the Regulators. The Lincoln County War was an Old West conflict between rival factions which began in 1878 in Lincoln County, New Mexico Territory, the predecessor of the state of New Mexico, and continued until 1881. The Lincoln County Regulators, or just the Regulators, were an American Old West deputized posse that fought in the Lincoln County War in New Mexico, during the late 19th century. They are well known for including Billy the Kid as a member. They were formed by small ranch owners and cowboys in Lincoln County, New Mexico, and their goal was to "regulate" any stealing of property from their ranches. The main group of men in the Regulators were known as the “iron clad” and they were: Richard "Dick" Brewer, Frank McNab, Doc Scurlock, Jim French, John Middleton, George Coe, Frank Coe, Jose Chavez y Chavez, Charlie Bowdre, Tom O'Folliard, Fred Waite, Henry Newton Brown, and the bandit of all bandit's; Billy the Kid.

I thought I saw his suit was torn, and then I saw it was his hanky hanging down. Was that a fad back then? I don't remember that.

I believe the whole world fell in love with these beautiful and talented young men. Each one of them stellar human beings. My parents, brother and sister and I never missed watching them whenever we knew they were on TV. No one has matched them. Everyone knew that little Michael was a powerhouse. Can’t believe he is gone. But his music lives on.

The Smothers Brothers were cancelled for their avoidance of the censors. Their anti-Vietnam War stance was the real reason. They stood for civil rights and peace. It was their downfall.

One of the greatest drummers to ever lived is playing on the track, His named is James Gadson. The most recorded session drummer of all time. He is also a co-founding member of The Watts 103rd st. Rhythm Band. You can't turn on the radio and not hear him playing on a track. This is him talking about him plaing on this track. He is still with us.. A good friend of mine. Here is a video of him talking about recoring this song.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5Wrq6xndq2dkJosi=U7GZeZyzp-D2yx4h

He was already married to his current (and only) wife when he recorded this. If I recall correctly, it was she who told him that if he recorded this, they would never have to worry about money again, and she was right.
