Thank you for giving us the measurements before you cut each piece. I've watched several "DIY lantern" videos and everyone is so busy chatting, they don't bother to give the measurements for the wood they're cutting or what size they're cutting to. Makes it pretty difficult to "DIY" if you don't know what the size is.

7:50 I’d just make a compass jig for the jigsaw or use the bandsaw, though. Hard enough to make a perfect circle anyways and a compass-point tramel would save a bunch of time cutting AND sanding afterwards.

Not taking anything away from it because it's cool as hell but the stars and the white strips should be the same color either white or burnt having both just isn't right

Great idea, I will try it next time.

There are so many videos for wood projects. I was scrolling really fast through the videos, when yours caught my attention. The colors and the pattern of your post did it. The way you placed the flag, is so eye-catching. I was not surprised that you were informative, and easy to follow. It was also shot well, thank you. You have definitely inspired me.

@Dad Builds it ! I call myself The Garage Weirdo because of the weird looks I get as people walk their dogs and are shocked to see a woman making all the noise, (at appropriate times of the day, as stated in the BYLAWS) Maybe I'll change my handle to Mom Builds. I like it, but I kinda like Garage Weirdo.

loved the instructions, you make it so easy to make. I'm in the process of making a 36x19. I think this would be an addition to something I can make since I live in a heavy military and police area. However, while watching and subscribing I didn't see a link or any measurements on the Stencil you used. Can you please forward that or add it to your description. Thanks. Looking forward to watching your other videos. Peace out and be well.
