With all due respect, confidence, feeling comfortable and your personality are not part of language fluency, although they influence it. According to Oxford dictionary, fluency is "the ability to express easily and well". This means you don't pause too often because of a lack of language, you use connected speech and you keep your sentence rhythms.

Great insights! Slowing down really makes a difference; I've noticed that when I pause, my audience can absorb the message better. Barack Obama is a fantastic example of this-his pacing and clarity really engage listeners. Also, working on vocal depth and tone can enhance presence and authority. I learned from the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x that adding humor while maintaining that clarity connects with the audience on a personal level. Keep honing these skills, and you’ll shine as a communicator!

I've been pronouncing it with the R since I was a little kid, and I'm almost 53. I always thought people were either lazy, or they just thought it was the same as January. I learned to pronounce the R in school.
