@DopEiMean dam foreals ! I actually just bought the P3 12s in the loaded enclosure and they slam hard ! I was going to go for the P2 as they were cheaper and I heard they still hit pretty hard, but I am happy with P3s.

the Xterra comes with a Rockford Fosgate 380W amp + 8" subwoofer. can I bypass that woofer, & connect to this P2-2X12 box?

But I believe this box is tuned to about 40hz.. It would work pretty good with low's.. I mean.. If you get to thinking to yourself, 40hz is pretty low, it'll get the job done.. It'll get loud, it's more of an spl type build.. But for the most part, it'll work good with rock, country, & rap ect.. It's a better all around tuning.. But for the best of both worlds tuning if you made a custom box for em, I would probably tune around 35hz & give each sub about 2.25 cu ft of airspace, it'll bump..

Custom factory box.. When that box left the factory it was designed & tuned specifically to spec for those sub's.. Rockford builds quality products, they wouldn't let those subs leave the factory unless they would perform correctly.. But if you was to have a different build idea for em, the best idea would be to build a custom box for em yourself.. You could build a bigger box and tune lower to target lower frequencies like rap and so on.. Prefab's honestly suck
