Most of the scenes with CGI are better in the 2011 film. I know that will piss off a lot of nerds to hear, but there was a lot more action in this movie compared to the 1982 film. The CGI also seems to have a bit more detail it seems. The Thing makes a lot more intricate movements that would look stiff if it was just the practical. Some of the clips here don't look better than what we got. I know that will offend the neck beard purist ideology that puts practical on a pedestal, but im just being honest. I would welcome a new two disc release with the final CGI film and one with practical just for fun, but ultimately its understandable why they went with CGI.

@@Drm3221 If it was the same as the original, they would have complained it was just like the original and no different. End of the day, the films go together very well for what they went for. Neither are perfect and thats ok. Practical alone would have looked very stiff.

There's something about this movie that no one acknowledges, and that is Danny would be an accomplice to murder. In the movie where you know they burned the people in the church, Micah says this is the funeralpyre for those who defy the will of He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Since Danny is a part of them at this point that makes him an accomplice two murder and Guilty By Association. So how would Danny's dad telling the children's story like the dad said he would do not get his son into trouble by the law?

I would say, probably not. Back then, there were so many unknowns about HIV and AIDS, but one thing was certain, and that was the fact that there was no cure. My first love contracted HIV a decade after we parted ways, and he knew the prognosis was fatal. На єтом видео видно что Фредди безнадёжно болен и ему осталось недолго но он до конца работал пока у него были силы и как говорили друзья Фредди все его тело было покрыто саркома капоши и даже лицо это ж надо так загримировать Фредди что бы лицо было такое было и бороду Фредди отрастил не просто так главная причина была саркома капоши а тут Фредди побритый, и без бороды хотя по этому видео видно что Фредди все!

I hope they eventually release the director’s cut of the film with the original practical effects. I also hope that the producer who said the original effects were “too much like an 80’s movie” was demoted (and castrated by fans) after poor reviews complained about how bad the CGI was.

It could have started with BOTH Americans - Kate AND Carter - surviving , barely . They frantically try to do the impossible - convince their rescuers that their crazy story is real . The film opens with Kate recounting to their rescuers her meeting in New York City with Adam . I would entirely get rid of that scene of the Norwegians falling through the ice in their vehicle , along with the scene where Kate is working on a frozen dog as a paleontologist , and move right into the story in a different way . Plus this film should have been at least forty minutes longer .

Sander took the form of the "Pilot" so that he could properly boot the ship up, also the pilots collected the thing specimen but it broke out and caused them to crash on earth, they was even gotta be a scene where kate visits this giant room and discovers dead specimens and one of the specimens was a xenomorph and another was missing, that missing one is of course the thing.
