And to anyone who's pulling tight and still laddering... Don't pull so tight!!! If you tug too much yarn from your prior stitch, this can cause the stitch in the row below it to "steal" yarn from its neighbors, which also creates gaps/laddering. Took me a little while to figure that one out and stop creating ladders in my gloves 😅 Gotta find that Goldilocks tension!

I will have a look for this next time I am near Lidl. I haven't seen elasticated yarn before, but I will give it a try. The wool one, too.

I knitted with elastic yarn before, not the yarn from Lidl, but from a Danish manufacturer. I used the yarn for the leg part so the sock doesn't slip down. It works. I don't think you will feel a difference of 75 and 70 % wool.

For the second part of the decreases of the hat, I think we are supposed to continue to do decreases at both sides, so it would be slip knit k2tog knit purl 2 together, turn, knit everything but knit last stitch together. If you do this 6 times you end up with 2 stitches on both sides and 7 in the middle Hope this helps! Because the instructions are a bit unclear on that part Otherwise it is a very nice tutorial, love the result!

Lovely. I used neck needles to knit the braid. Easy to move the stitches from one side to the other...no need to transfer it.
