My question is about the wheel chock, i bought one but my tire seems little to wide. My question is, will my 2012 electra glide have any issue with that chock. It seems to be a 5 inch tire.

Did you have to drill the holes in the ramps for the pipe?

I did this mod to my lift. I have a question. What did you do to be able to use the pump and release with the sides on? Thanks for any info.

So, shame on me, I took your comment about using 1 1/4" pipe without checking (also without paying attention to your exact comment, "about 1 1/4 outside diameter". Bottom line, I went off half-cocked and bought a 10' length of 1 1/4 pipe at Lowe's (and cut a 14" length off the end) and found out that it is WAY bigger than 1 1/4" OD (more like 1.66"). Anyway, now somewhat wiser, I googled steel pipe dimensions. Looks like you actually used 1" pipe, which has an OD of 1.35". I think I may opt for 3/4" pipe (OD 1.05") and use a total of 8 pipe sections rather than 6, which should be more than strong enough. Anyone want a good deal on 8'10" of 1 1/4 steel pipe????

Nice! I just got my lift and put my Vulcan 900 on it, it was a little clumsy for me to do it by myself. I really like those side pieces you made, I'll definitely be doing that upgrade!

been running them since 2013 with the exception of 1 cycle, I tried the Michelin 2's. Never seen that issue with the Dunlop's. The commander 2's were good for about 3,000 miles then fell off, not near as good as the Dunlop's in the wet. Nothing like having good rubber. Hopefully Dunlop will replace for free, they should.

Looks like you used some nuts and bolts to secure the ramps to the tubes. can you tell me if that's true and if you are getting any flexing once the ramps are mounted and you put weight on them?

I did your mod on my lift. I have a question, how do you work the pump pedal and the release pedal? Mine are on the left side of the lift,and are covered up by the side extension. When I lowered the lift, I had no access to the pedals. Had to remove the extension to raise the lift. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated Thanks Mike

Just got my softbrake clutch lever in the mail last night. My next purchase from them will be the boot brake lever that extends and lowers the brake pad so your foot is not resting under the brake lever any longer. It looks like a much better rear brake lever and it operates much like a car brake, you don't have to remove your foot from the floorboard to depress the rear brake. You guys check them out, you will be impressed, and Rick is an awesome guy!!

looked like it was cupped pretty bad, and yeah you should'nt normally get that, until around 15,000 to 20, 000 kms, least been my expierence the last 10 years running Dunlops...the air pressure is the most important thing to check, everyday, every ride, yeah the rear on my FLTRU is a pain in the ass but it pays in the long run.

that bag is a little small can you put it on a larger bag?
@NorthCoBaggers
@NorthCoBaggers Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. In fact, the bag from RickRak is a really really nice bag, with lots of room. It's much bigger than the ones we're using. You can buy them already assembled directly from RickRak, or you can add any bag of your liking. That's what's great, it is totally customizable to your specific needs. rickrak.com/non-roller-bags/

Can the 1000 lb lift be up graded to hold ultra classic dressed @ 1100lbs
@NorthCoBaggers
@NorthCoBaggers Жыл бұрын
It is listed as limited to 1000 lbs, so I would not exceed the rated capacity. We're not sure of any of the touring models that comes in over 1000 without the rider on it. Most are around the 850-950 mark for the ultras as a running weight without the rider. We have our street glides with tour packs and other additions, so they are essentially ultras, and the table lifts them with no problems. Good luck and Happy New Year!

Max weight for tourpak rack is 10 lbs, 30 lbs for the tourpak interior, and 30 lbs combined total. How do you justify recommending this bag and mounting solution?
@NorthCoBaggers
@NorthCoBaggers 2 жыл бұрын
We justify it because it's a great product and a very secure way to attach additional storage. If you watched the video, you'll see the rack itself is just over 2 lbs, and you can mount any bag of your liking to it. Many of the HD or aftermarket rack bags are rather light weight, allowing for plenty of payload room while still staying within the weight guidelines. Also of note, the RickRak mounting solution is available for the normal luggage rack as well, not just the tour pack luggage rack. It is the individual rider who is responsible for ensuring their motorcycle is loaded correctly, and this product allows one to do it quickly and securely. But if you don't like it, that's fine too. We've heard Velcro works just as good.

Sorry for the delay in response. We still love these lights, and get many compliments everywhere we go with them. We've had no issues with the lights themselves, and this includes riding in lots of rain and weather. The light is a bright but diffuse light that lights up the front area a lot. It's not a spot light style, so it doesn't really help for driving, but it is very noticeable from any other vehicles around you. We think it's a nice addition that adds tasteful lighting. We love CD products too, and also have some on our bikes. Whatever style and price point you're comfortable with, you can't go wrong with either.
