It looks entertaining. I digitize using a camera, bulk invert in Negmaster BR, then I have saved profiles in DxO for different film stocks to apply default processing settings. I'm typically done in 15 minutes per roll (sometimes less). From what I can see, with this software, I would still end up in DxO for retouching work, histogram optimization, etc. At first glance this software doesn't appear to leverage camera raw files to pull out the best results for dynamic range. I'll end up testing it for myself though. It's going to be hard to beat Negmaster quality, as IMO it beats both Filmlab and NLP. If I was still using archaic Silverfast Negafix and a traditional scanner, this software appears appears superior. As a one-stop solution, it appears to fall well short of what Filmlab App can do. I wish the Filmomat people had just partnered with Filmlab App. Filmomat is splitting their R&D across hardware and software, and I don't think that makes sense for a small company. I *do* love the novelty and simplicity of lab-style controls. If I had more time, I'd probably look at remapping the keys on this device to match the DxO shortcuts :)

@@wpse I see what you mean, just got a new light meter what measures colour temperature and you are correct. When lowering the power the light seems to get a little cooler. How is the Reveni Incident meter compared to the Sekonic 308 in terms of ergonomics and ease of handling between meter and manual camera?
@ishkhanghazarian2 ай бұрын
@@chenmunn the Reveni Lab meter is meant to be “worn” on the hand so you have constant access to, while working with your film / digital camera, so that would be the biggest difference between them. As for a base functionality standpoint they pretty much do the same metering. The Reveni Lab meter will let you calibrate your meter yourself in the menu, so I would saw they’re the same metering wise. I guess it would be very subjective design wise, whatever you’d like to prioritize. They’re both amazing light meters and I do own both and love both.

The Godox Lux Master is a perplexing addition to the photography market. Its functionality seems limited compared to traditional speedlights or strobes like the AD200 or 400 series. I'm struggling to find a clear use case for it. It's unfortunate that many KZbinrs prioritize sponsorships over genuine product reviews. I recommend aspiring photographers focus on essential gear to avoid unnecessary expenses.
@ishkhanghazarian2 ай бұрын
@@AdamAdam-ut7dn This release is part of the Godox Retro series flash lineup. It’s not competing with their Ad200/400 series monolight. It’s a modern take on a classic flashgun to be used with but not limited to film cameras or film era-esc digital cameras. There are many people who would love to use this design to complement their Graflex 4x5, me being included in that list, to better suit the aesthetic, while maintaining ease of access or entry to traditional looking flashs’. If you’re looking for something to do the work of a moonlight only this may not be the one for you, but if you prioritize the aesthetic and complementary style to your camera this is a great option. As for a functionality standpoint this functions like any other monolight they create.

just buy the magsafe mount, dont buy the lens from ulanzi, the magnet barely attached to the mount, buy the 52mm lens in smallrig instead, it is stronger (although when you turn the ND step it will keep sliding since the mount does not have a small indent to hold the attachment). unfortunately, small rig is no longer selling their Magsafe mount, so you end up with Ulanzi.

I own this Hasselblad Sandkvist Messenger bag for many years. It was specially built for the X1D (X2D). It is compact and lightweight, and durable, I love it. The main drawback is that the velcro divider fastener in the insert. Hooks Velcro bands are on the insert shell and velcro smooth bands are on dividers, what exposes the plastic hooks of the unused velcros to the camera. These hooks scratched the rubber eyecup of my X1D and so I had to cover these hooks with some smooth velcro bands I added. I complained to Hasselblad and proposed that they solve the problem by simply attaching the hooks bands to the dividers and put the smooth velcro band to the shell. so that the camera will only be exposed zo smooth velcro. I hope they have modified it ?

Great video and perfect timing. I received my simple flash in the mail today 😎
I think there are 3 words that people don't understand properly. They are professional, amateur, and commercial. A professional is an approach and way of dealing with people. Commercial photographers get paid for their photography. An amateur takes photographs of what they love or for the love of photography.. The quality of the image is independent of any of these. I've met many commercial photographers that take terrible meaningless photos. I've also met lots of amateurs that take great images.

Nice Makeup und Prop-Idears (e.g. the butterfly). To me I would have preferred a classical beauty light without any shadows for this kind of pictures. Are you really ok with the hard light and strong, crisp shadows as can be seen at 7:14min for example? I have the impression that the white balance is not consistent among the shown pictures. However, I did not check picture by picture. Only an impression. I like the idea of the photos, however the face looks so distant and not-involved. This makes the photos unpersonal and feeling not-connected. The low shooting angle of ALL the pictured does not help here. Of course, it looks ridiculous shooting the "WAIST FINDER" of the Hassy CM500 standing on an apple box (=elevated standpoint), however I am pretty sure this would make the pictures feeling more connected. I liked the green paper background in the beginning of the video very much.
