Hello, I have made my coasters with simple single crochet rows. I like to work embroidery on a firm fabric of crochet to create defined stitches so I would recommend a dense stitch pattern. I hope this helps. Kindest regards, Roseanna.

This was a great pattern up until you skipped the ‘how to make it an actual rose’ pattern and suddenly you have a finished product. The blog doesn’t specifically show how to make the rose either.

Of course you can but you just need to ensure your stitches are tight of the flower will flop. You may need to increase your yarn size too x
