Jober! I miss the odd pet names… I always wished the made the max level lich form (for the character) stand out somehow, like red bones? Last I played, level 60 was the max (I think). I listen to eq music daily heh. Cool video btw 😁

I went here today to try and get my em26 earring because I've had zero luck getting the earring clasp to drop from Shoru. I camped it for almost 2 weeks with no luck getting a clasp even though on ZAM it says it dropped from him. Killed him at least 2 or 3 dozen times. I currently have em25 pet and I'll try and see if I survive this camp. Hopefully I won't need to resort to Dire Charming a mob to take him down. Rock on man, videos are a great help!

hey Xellene , been watching your channel and was wondering if your using Rogue or warrior pet ? and what EM ear are you using .. i know in later vids your using the BS but like in this video which EM are you using cause BS wasnt out yet was it ? thx again for your vids they are Awesome

Thanks Tester! Finally wrapped up the expansion and other than the Year of Darkpaw Tower and collectibles not doing much in game. Summer is always rough for EverQuest.

The game is older than most people watching the videos so yes it looks awesome! EQ is not about the graphics never has been and never will. When you dig down to it EQ is just a big spreadsheet game. Thanks for watching!

The biggest difference between your method, and mine, seems to be my use of the swarm pet spell gem and the Ally buff on my pet for the lifetap proc. You opt to use the rune and pet heal. I attribute this to you pushing the boundaries much more than I do, and the fact I'm just a lazy player. LOL I try and limit my button pushes as much as possible and probably trust my healer merc a little more than I should. I do use the AA pet rune on my spam key, though. I usually love to use the necro slow on mobs, but I've found I agree with you about it just not being worth the spell slot to use on live mobs. I'll probably go back to having it on my loadout once we get our updated combo dot next xpac. I'm still figuring out the gear a little. I'm sort of confused on the T3 mats for combining for certain items. Nice info, as always though. Rock on man.

This sounds like my kind of camp! I've been killing in the undead area for xp (Lev 122 right now) and the bats are a little annoying to me. I hate it when live mods are mixed in with undead ones, plus the bats are aggressive. Not a huge deal, but annoying all the same. I'm not concerned with rares just yet, not until I hit max level. But I don't mind the flipping style of the zone so far...it's kind of like getting 2 different camps in one, if you just stay in one spot. But I do see how it can be irritating to the Achievement Hunters, like yourself. So hang in there man. Always helpful to check out your vids. Good job, as always. Rock on.

It's July, and I am back after 9 months off. I got EQ to work on my iMac M3 using the CrossOver that simplifies using the WINE compatibility layer. Once in a while I notice a texture not loading, but not a big deal to me. I've actually only noticed the Ranger 1.0 weapon lightning texture not showing properly. Everything else. so far, looks and plays well. I'm back to doing my usual and am 122 so far leveling nice and slow and will start the LS xpac once I hit 125. I'm guessing will take me about 3 more weeks leveling using Overseer and grinding the important AA's while doing so. You're vids are always very helpful and a nice place to go when I feel rusty after a long break;> Rock on man!

I’m back from a 9 month break as well. I got EQ working on my iMac using crossover 100%. Missing texture here and there, but no big deal to me. I’m getting my levels and as’s before hitting the T1 zones in the new xpac. I love being free of Windows again. Free…free…FREE!! 😂🎉

Thanks AK907! I have found the Inn to be worked the best while going AFK and then returning every now and then to see what respawned. This is assuming the zone is low population of course.

What weapons and armor is your pet using? My pet doesn’t stand up nearly as well as yours using max mage weapons & armor with an enhanced minion XXXII earring.

I am using a EM XXIX (29) - Summoner's Blood-Soaked Earring - so my pet is weaker than yours. I am not sure why you are having trouble as I the gear we give our pets has very minimal returns. Because I am on Test I have a copy kit of pet weapons - Tier 1 tradeable from the current expansion. I usually give Jober something like Abide or Sharp Hook. I no longer give Jober conflagrant trade skill armor as the stats are so low now that I don't feel a benefit from the gear versus the time it takes me to tradeskill out a full set. So giving your pet Mage armor should be another upgrade versus mine. Make sure your healer merc is set to Reactive and if you need to assist your merc healing use AA Companion's Aegis, then pet Runeshield, then Revival heal. This should bring Jober back from whatever low HP number to full as the runes / blocks will give you and your merc time to get two heals on him.

Lot of great people on FV as we get a lot of cross over on Test with them. I'm a full time Test player as I go back and forth too much with my play schedule to justify the monthly. I do try my best to give back to Daybreak but I'm too cheap to sub and not have the time to play. Also, I am so heavily invested in Xellen and the Test community I couldn't let it go!

What EM piece are you using? I am assuming is a raid piece because the named mobs appear to not hit Jaber for that much, unless your merc is crazy good. What robe clickies do you use?

I dont know why, but I have a dru and bard that can punt, but often I get either resists or IDK honestly, they just dont go anywhere. Now they are rooted in the camp, so trying to move my mercs and toons its just a pain. I see you always get them punted on the first try, I guess I have bad luck...Great as always.

Necro is a hard class to box well, for a trio you'd better be a good boxer. I played necro/bard/paladin. Probably the best combo. If you can't box 3 well necro/bard will beat anything else

This bastage just beat the sheet outta my 4 box. Not sure if its just super MR but my normal bard songs were not sticking, i failed at 5%, I have a healer and a tank merc as well. I ended up having to us my bst pet for the last 20% but IDK how it did it but my mercs went down, then my SK and Bard, who didnt even have agro, then it just ate thru the pets health, effing wiped me after like 10 mins he still had 5% left, man, I suck at this game...lol

Just used my heroic boost on a necro too. I got a LOT to learn. Hope you have some older videos for level 100-110. Problem with boost, no idea what aa and spells to use lol

Just got to Moors recently but this is almost too good, that room w/ the 2 PH's. That stomp decimated me on one try, went from gtg, to 3 toons dead in 2 seconds, lol blinked and booom...Nice to sit in the middle, there are a few you can single pull while waiting for the PHs to pop.

Just decided to camp this guy as his spawn points are close. Got him to pop, but not sure, but when he gets to about 20% or so, maybe less, my merc cant or wont keep my merc tank up, tank goes down and its a fail. I just dont understand how it can go fine until a certain point, I dont see any flurry or other mechanic. Seems like they either OOM or IDK what it is, but if I can go quick I can take over heals w/ dru and set the BST pet as tank, but w/ all my defenses up they ear right thru the BST pet....I screwed up something...This was more of a rant than a question. THe damn battle spam you cant see scroll to read anything..

At what point in the game's history (or enhanced minion level) are necro pets finally able to face tank group rare spawns without trickery? I currently have a 75 necro on Mischief with an EM earring (I think 4), and my tank pet takes like 3 hits before disappearing. This is a class I'd like to play long-term, so I was curious about when that turning point is.
