It seems he tried to make back all the money he lost during the shutdown by tripling the prices in the first few months he reopened. When he saw that people would actually pay those prices regularly, what impetus did he have to lower them back into the lower stratosphere again? None. The McDonald's comparison hasn't aged well in the last few years. The free pickle bar is probably still a good deal, though.
