What all has broken or started to see wear on your camper? For one, my gas struts holding the main roof have started to rust a bit, and my rear door tire mount is starting to rust as well
@bigsouthoverlandАй бұрын
I had to replace the bed lift struts about 2 yrs, ago. And the side windoor lift struts about 1 year ago as well. That's really about it.

Sometimes you hear it if you focus on it but other times it's not noticed. The sound is noticeable though.

Just curious, where do you store it for travel? I have a Gladiator with the ACCC and storage is always at a premium and I have yet to find a good place where I can store it securely. I am often fishing or hunting out of my rig so I probably have a wee bit more gear when I hit the road than just the average camper.

I built benches in the camper and it fits in a bench.

I've driven a tacoma. Can yours really go uphill with all that stuff and weight. Or did you spend $10000 to supercharge it?😂
@JD.127 ай бұрын
Having a similar weight setup, i can tell you, going uphill is no issue with the V6. I have it re-geared to 4.88, that is really key to a better driving experience with the Tacoma, but no complaints regarding it not being able to go up hill. No supercharger here, but i am planing on doing the overland torque tune. Also am running 33 inch wheel size.

Really nice setup! I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD OR. Did you re-gear it, at all? How is the truck, holding up with the extra weight?
@bigsouthoverland10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I did not regear but have plans to change the shifting patterns. The truck did not like the extra weight when fully loaded. I had Old Man Emu leafs but they couldn't take it and I recently upgraded to Deaver Heavy Duty packs...seems to be better. Time will tell.

@@Stranger451 Stage 3. I don't plan on removing the Alu-Cab.
@Stranger4519 ай бұрын
Do you regret going stage 3 over 2? I have stage 2 on the way. That is what Deaver recommends.
@bigsouthoverland9 ай бұрын
@@Stranger451 I do not. It may be stiffer but the load capacity is better. With the Alu-Cab it's already close to carrying capacity and then once you add gear it gets heavier and most always carry more gear than needed so for us the Stage 3 works. I hope this helps.
