This is when ESPN was a reputable network. No flare or hype, just basic football knowledge on display. This was once a great program to watch that didn't push PC social issues.

Seeing the commercials about Lightning Jack makes me wonder if Cuba Gooding Jr had committed any of his alleged sex crimes yet. I’m assuming by this point him and Sean Combs have become acquainted.

(1:33:20). Something I noticed watching this game again tonight 30 years later. John Madden’s speaking style, with that repetition, was always unorthodox but incredibly effective. Now I hear it … a quarter century later that same methodology is used by Donald Trump. Anyways back to the game. Congrats to Larry Brown and Alvin Harper who I had forgotten were so effective role players. But I did not forget that O line. I’ve remembered all my life that Boys O line. Just think… they’re about to add Larry Allen. 90s Boys best team ever.

14:50 this was the first year I really got into football, I was 9, almost 10, I watched this game closely and was really stunned at the stupid ending, the first and only game I ever cried over, I was that invested in it... I guess you can say that's the day I officially became a raiders fan, it set the tone and prepared me for the decades of misery that followed
