A woman sacrifices a lot to nourish her children beyond birth, including breastfeeding. It’s an ability for a short time, one she’ll never get back after her last child. Creating jewelry with it is a way to honor that phase of life for a long time to come. I was saving one last pouch of my milk for this purpose. My husband saw the “old” unnecessary milk in the freezer when we were moving, and threw it away. It was very difficult. I carry the memory instead. Not only holding that precious baby and feeding each one for hours and hours, but the hundreds of hours pumping and cleaning pumping supplies because I was working also… something I hope my children will appreciate one day.

Hey I was just wondering, I noticed quite a few years ago, when breastmilk jewellery was a big hype, soo many people were interested in how it was made etc.. but it was always kept as a massive secret .. so I'm just curious to know, what made you want to share your artistry with the world? 🙂🙂🙂 Btw absolutely love what you do 👍🏼

Raina Kingi hi there I’m not really giving anything away, to make successful jewellery you need preservation and without knowing what to use to preserve it you can’t do it. We use three solvents in total, none of which I ever show on camera. I don’t mind showing behind the scenes without giving too much away because I think that sharing behind the scenes builds trust between your clients and yourself

it is a huge secret indeed. lol . I have seen that some people do vinegar and milk and they mix it and then once it separates they drain it and let it dry out which turns it into a stone. once it turns into stone i think you grind it up into powder and then mix in the RESin or whatever those two things are called. hehe. its a hardener and a resign i think. you can find it on amazon.
@julieknotts6949
@julieknotts6949 5 жыл бұрын
@@monkeylove917 I'm not sure the method with vinegar would work in this case. It is VERY important working with resin that your product doesn't yellow and I don't think vinegar would keep it from yellowing.
