Good afternoon from across the pond. I've just fitted this camera to my 2007 BMW R1200R i made a small wiring loom to allow me to add three accessories to the bike.You should have posative negative and a yellow wire, if you wire the yellow to say the back light your camera will operate when you turn ignition on. hope this helps and thanks for sharing your other video concerning this camera.

I wired the camera independent of the ignition. I may want to record when the boke is off. I hope you like the camera. I do!

Why did you decide to go with the KLR and not the versys?
@boredtexas7778
@boredtexas7778 8 ай бұрын
At the time I bought it, price. Plus, the KLR is more a "me" kind of bike. Later, I got to ride a Versys 1000 and hated it. The KLR is a more easily personalized bike. Easier and more mods available. More durable, also.

You can knock the pin out and remove the side latches on the top box. It will still seal perfectly, but it makes it a lot easier to open.

Why not street tyres? I'd stick with DS/ADV simply because of my driveway and dirt roads, but you might actually like the roadholding of a cruiser style 21 and a street tire out back as well. Edit after watching more... : I see you did address tyres, but which ones are you putting on? Also, it is worth just putting them on yourself, and $90 for a HF changer and some levers in your tool kit will give you more confidence on the tours as well...

I tried to price 100% road tires, but they were just too expensive. If I can get the same number of miles for $180 versus $300, that is the way I'll go.

Yea after the Mirror ?? Like the manual if I knew Chinese maybe there's an answer ! With the Monitor (or what they call the host) Mounting under the seat 🤔Na mounted on handlebars. I think the USB would be likely to make a poor connection, I stuck with soldier All in All The manual is okay but Lacks information
@boredtexas7778

It is a bit of Engrish, but it isn't horrible. The instructions state that the USB power input is only for testing. I wired straight to the battery for power. The "mirror" is just the flip of the rear view. I goofed and installed my cameras opposite. Rear up front and front out back. Still works.

If you mean over and over and over, and you can't shut it off, then yes. Pull the card. It will shut down. Put another card in it and it will work after a card format. I thought it was my off brand cards. I carry an extra now just for this. I also format the card every week or so. Seems to help.

If you mean coming on for a while and then turning off, turn off you gravity, or impact, setting. Parking guard should be fine, but the other setting is too sensitive.

Help. I did everything in the video to install and I seem to have gotten it. But how do I get the cameras to display all the time? The camera or video only displays for about two minutes then the screen switches back to just showing the speed. Do I have some wires crossed somewhere?

I will have to look at it to see. I've done so much stuff that I honestly don't remember all of it. I do know I had to use some rubber sheeting as a spacer/grabber to it would secure to the handlebars. The mount is the only difficult part of the install. Give me some time to look at it and I will explain more.

Hi Clay. I found you while I was watching Matt at VanLife. Your story was so interesting that I looked you up. My best friends husband also has Glioblastoma brain tumor. So strange to have never heard of such a thing, then suddenly two in a short time. He too has outlived the life expediency of this cancer. I hope you and your wife have a long future together.
