My brother also have this condition, thick red skin covers left side of his face all the way from forehead down till mouth. when he was child, no treatment was done. He was all good until he was 16, then he suddenly developed symptoms of schizophrenia and cognitive deficits, dysphasia, and now it is hard for him to learn even simple question answers for eg capital city of countries. Doctors diagnosed him as schizophrenic and he's 27 year old now still on antipsychotics drugs for schizophrenic. I think doctors misdiagnosed him probably because this is a very rare disease not much doctors know about this.

I like how this is the first video in the results for the search "how to promote facial hair growth naturally". Pharmaceuticals whether FDA approved or not, are not natural. All hail the information gate keepers.

My mom suffered from this with her last three. She didn't experience it with my brother or I, but she had it really bad with the rest. For me I've experienced it all three of my pregnancies. Our health care system fails us. With my first I had it, but didn't know what I was experiencing at the time. My OB saw the weight loss and said nothing, so I suffered without medications, but luckily it ended right at second trimester. I was so traumatized from that experience that I did not want another child. But, a few years later my husband wanted to try for another to give our first a sibling. Once again, I was never diagnosed with HG so when everyone told me" every pregnancy was different" I believed it. I tried for a second thinking I wouldn't go through the same thing again until I did. It was HORRIFIC. Lasted for 18 weeks and I felt like I was on my last leg. Again, even with a 15 lbs weight loss in 3 weeks I wasn't told my diagnoses. Come to find out they put it on record as "HG" but they didn't deliver this info to me. I found out I had it through my own research. This time around I became pregnant trying to prevent it and I just wanted to cry. My husband got a Vasectomy finally, because this was my last straw. I am almost 26 weeks and still throwing up after everything I eat. I will have occasional fluff days, but this has made me depressed. I came to the decision that I won't even go celebrate Thanksgiving, because suffering this long with this condition has been too much. I throw up Zofran and I've had to go to the hospital for IV fluids. Lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks & my Ketone levels were extremely high as well. Unlike my first two pregnancies this one hasn't ended and I've also developed Pytalism. My doctors didn't diagnosed me with Pytalism I had to do the research myself once again. I fill up a whole ziplock bag of saliva daily. HG is the toughest thing I've been through in my whole life and I HATE that our health care system fails us. Not to mention the medical bills that get dropped on us. I was turned away from my first appointment and they would not prescribe me Zofran unless I payed $600 upfront with no payment plan. Luckily my mom knew someone to help get me the insurance that I needed. I had to quit a job because of it and even my RN classes that I was almost finished with. This will definitely test your limits and I would have not continued had I not had the constant support from my husband or family. Just no way. I just hope anyone who has this advocates for themselves or finds a provider that tries their best to give the treatment every pregnant woman deserves!

I was a graduate student at UCLA. Last year, during a routine non-contrast CT scan, a small adrenal nodule with a regular border was detected. At that time, I did not pay much attention to it. However, it has now been a year and a half since that CT scan, and I became more concerned this year, so I underwent comprehensive blood and urine tests, including ACTH, ALD, AngII + PRA, total cortisol, 24-hour urinary free cortisol, 24-hour urinary catecholamines, and adrenal/adrenocortical hormones. All the results came back normal. A doctor in China suggested I undergo a contrast-enhanced CT scan for further evaluation. Do you think this is necessary? Thank you for your advice.

The doctor said that my situation is likely to be fine, but contrast CT scan is a gold standard for adrenal nodule, so they recommend a contrast CT to follow up

I try.... I try so hard to be kind and understanding with my grandmother... But I admit, there are times when she gets angry and irritable that she says some hurtful things and... I don't lose my temper, but I do get teary-eyed. Trying to help.... It's a 50/50 thing with her. No matter what I do, there are days she loves me and days she seems to hate me. For anyone else out there, good luck.

This is misleading and out of date. First off, TURP is better suited for prostates less than 80cc. He then says that Prostatectomy is the complete removal of the prostate which is absolutely incorrect. Radical prostatectomy is complete removal of the prostate and is exclusively done for the treatment of prostate cancer. The surgery to which he is referring is called a simple prostatectomy and can be done with an open or robotic approach. This involves removing the inner contents of the prostate while leaving the outer capsule behind For prostate 80 cc or greater, the surgical gold standard is now anatomic endoscopic enucleation of the prostate. This replicates, the results of a simple prostatectomy through a trans urethral approach using a laser. The most common treatment is HoLEP. I personally perform a procedure called ThuLEP. The only difference between the two is that the second uses a newer, laser technology and I find has better control of bleeding. As a urologist, I fully support the use of prostate arterial, embolization, and patients who want the absolute least invasive option or who are not considered suitable candidates for surgery.Unfortunately, this presentation does not cover the full scope of options and is a bit misleading in some aspects.

What about people with multiple sclerosis? My twenty year old friend is in diapers, and it does not help her much to wear them. She can no longer go out in public, and may commit suicide. 😮😢. Even her bowels are affected by MS. I have reported her to Department of Mental Health regarding suicide talk, but I doubt they will even attempt to help her. Can any of your methods help her?

I have noticed new and severe joint pains since I started taking levothyroxine over the past 2 years ..and developed a spinal cord tumor-who knows if the latter is related. I stopped taking it for a week and my pain level has significantly improved! Sure I’ll go back to having less energy, etc. but right now I am so grateful to be nearly out of pain!

You don't have time to that if you are working on the floor alone in a nursing home with 15 people that have dementia one person is never enough that's why health care is falling so short every day when they tell u no even when you are nice to them you never force anyone you check up on them later or a few hours they still won't budge and that's the time when the CNA caregiver needs help but the system is blind to the caregivers and CNA needs

Nobody experiences someone else’s pain. There are people who would not want to live if they had to endure the pain of their condition. If opioids allow them to continue to live and enjoy life…then they need opioids.

I was struck with a fairly severe case of Covid last year: during my workup a CT scan was done which showed 2 lung nodules. I'm certain those were caused by some periods of heavy marijuana smoking during periods of depression. It's not a good drug for longterm treatment of depression and anxiety. Also causes more emphysema than cigarette smoking in one study I read about. But just try taking a chronic smoker's mj from their hands! 😑 Very difficult to convince.

They (more specifically, Dr. Nathan and Dr. Valle) left placenta in me after a c-section. When I initially complained that something was wrong, and even sent photos of what I later learned to be retained placenta, the office told me there was nothing to worry about...this went on for 11 weeks. They were even going to put an IUD in, until I told them I didn’t feel comfortable having it put in until the bleeding and pain stopped from the c section. Even then, they wouldn’t order an ultrasound, just told me nothing was wrong. It took me in pain, bleeding, unable to get out of bed for 10 weeks, and then hemorrhaging before they would even do an ultrasound. (They actually didn't even do it, I went to the ER. But they finally suggested it needed to be done ASAP when I said I was bleeding too much and had to go to the ER.) I then had to wait for 11 hours in the ER, unable to pump, hemorrhaging until someone would finally bring me to a bed in the ER. Hours later I finally got a pump and learned it might be a retained placenta. The pain, sadness, and embarrassment is unspeakable. This was one of the worst moments of my life. This place ruined my life for awhile. I ended up having to spend my first 24 hours away from my baby to have a surgery to remove the placenta at 11 weeks. Then they didn't give me proper antibiotics so I ended up back in the hospital for another 24 hours away from my son. I wasn't able to breast feed while on the antibiotics because it made my son too sick. I had to stop breastfeeding because my body stopped making enough milk, which was also devastating. I hope and pray that anyone thinking about trusting this place to deliver your baby understands not only the risk you are taking trusting the doctors here...but also understand that if you try to reach out to them for help after, they will do, in my experience and belief, some pretty terrible things to continue to hurt you. Hoping this helps prevent hurting anyone else in the future.

Rape by definition is unlawful or forcible sexual acts. One must sign a consent to these procedures AND I would not call this a sexual act. No normal human would call this a sexual act. I recently had HDR Brachytherapy and by no means was that a sexual act either. But you do you and believe what you want. Lots of weird people in this world for sure.
