If this were Hollywood and this a picture, they'd be nominated for 1) original theme; 2) choreography; 3) wardrobe [or lack thereof]; 4) originality and total integration of the above. Sadly, no one in this thread mentioned the dancers, and I could freeze about 15 stills, but 3:45 is a good one. In a more sane world, this would be standard dress-code. Of course, the subtle backs and waste lines would have to be maintained, as they generally were in the last decades of the 20th Century, where this video really belongs. . .

One morning out of the blue my dad told me about how he shot a bird with his BB gun when he was a kid but the bird died and my dad said he felt bad because he didn’t think it would kill the bird. I don’t remember what kind of bird he said it was it was either a Yellow Canary, a Blue Jay, or a Robin. I just thought it was strange he told me that because it was a while after i found this video and he usually never talks about himself at all especially not about sad things like that.

The song+video is about regret and shame. To feel awful about yourself almost everyday. Living with the constant fear that, someday, someone will discover the truth. Will discover what you did in the past, many years ago. The worst part? You don't remember what exactly you did. You only know for sure that you are less than human. You see yourself as a kind of monster.

i was 19 laying beside my bestfriend. i showed her this song and she enjoyed it. she passed away 7 years ago and i think of her everyday. a man and woman can be best friends and i miss her dearly. i dream of her sometimes and i am blessed to. I hope youre okay wherever you are Emmy. i wish things were different for you and your family. but life goes on and they havent forgotten you, neither have i. i love you buddy

I know what that's like. My best friend is female too and I love her dearly. I don't know if I could live without her. We have an unbreakable bond. We love each other so much and even though we're both dating other people so still talk to each other almost every day. Her name is Michelle and I will always love her. I can't imagine what that must have been like to loose her man. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. May she rest in peace.
