Not only did BRP put one of these pieces of shit engines on this boat they doubled up and put two pieces of shit engines on it this has to be the biggest crap design in the boating industry and BRP ruined this brand and Alumacraft you are the laughing stock of the boating, industry way to go BRP

A guy that lives kinda local to me built a hill drag sled with 2 f7 engines graphed together to make a 4 cylinder , also heard of guys making triples out of laydown twins as well .

He can say what he wants that engine is a joke it has to be the most over engineered piece of crap that BRP could’ve ever put out who puts an engine halfway underwater fire. Beware BRP is selling off there marine line because this engine was a flop and they ruined a great brand.

The sea doo supercharger is located at the back of the engine in fact there is a nylon screen in case the the clutch impeller blows up it won't throw shrapnel into the engine

Great video!! As a public service advisory for folks considering the VX with a TR-1 (3 cylinder) engine, elevation plays a big part in the performances. Mine, a VX Limited TR-1 eng, does 7800 rpm / 51 mph on glass / low wind at sea level with a 160lb driver and 2/3 tank of gas, and 7000 rpm / 43 mph (same conditions) at 4500 ft elevation. Super disappointed with the later, since that is where we keep and use the unit. If I had known this, I would have purchased the HO (1.9 liter) instead... Arg!!

If we wanted to do the winterization process at the dock we would just keep the outboard in the water then? Instead of hooking up the freshwater connection via the hose?

No, an engine can be generically called a motor, even car manufacturers often use that term to describe engines. But an electric motor can't be called an engine.
