That Jack has amazing color despite the light colored substrate. Would love to see them with dark sand. Nice fish bro

Thanks man. I have 3 of the fry left full size beautiful color. They’re in my dads tank. Sadly that 75 gallon in the video got a leak and had to break it down. The male died last year. He was 10 years old.

@@aidansaquatics369 oh man that sucks. 10 years is pretty great though. Only had my 1 Jack male for about 2 years so far.

Bro nice vid but a lot of misinformation going on here lmao. They are named Jack Dempsey after the boxer because their strong facial features, likened to that of the famous 1920s boxer Jack Dempsey. I have mine in a 40 gallon and are fine and laid eggs already and they are not aggressive at all towards each other just to the other fish in the tank with them which is a wild caught bluegill I threw in with them. I'm pretty sure all fish are pretty different though they all have their different personalities so you can't really say that a certain fish is going to be a specific way because like I said they're all different personalities

@aidansaquatics3692 жыл бұрын
I don’t know any fish that would do too good in a tank that small, maybe a Damsel or chromis? I’d suggest going up to 20 gallon that way you can keep the tank more stable.

Im having deja vu I thought you had posted a video just like this. Any ways I would recommend fragging the healthy sections making sure to not have any edges with the rtn on them. Then do a iodine dip with them. Once rtn sets in heavily its really challenging to stop it. But sometimes you can save frags if you take proper measures. Hopefully they can make the full recovery.

Good tips especially the key is consistency. Beginners tend to chase numbers vs focusing on stability. Keeping things stable is far better then having rapid changes to perfect numbers. Reefing is the art of patience. Wait for corals to grow. Wait to earn money to buy corals. Wait to calm down when corals stress out! Take the time to wait and enjoy such beauty! Lol

I just started a frag tank without knowing what I was doing... and put over 100 corals in it. This was helpful. I noticed the algae growing and didn't know dipping would remove it. I also still have everything on one level. My goal tomorrow is to try and build frag racks so that I can elevate some. My tank is 48x24x9 and my light bars just go across the top. Learning as I go. Thank you.

The more corals/bioload you put in a tank at once the more likely your calcium and alk levels will ho down while nitrates and phosphates will go up. I’d recommend water tests then doing a water change then tests again. It’s tedious but can be expensive if you don’t.
