'Hachimitsu' ('Honey') by Akai Ko-en, from the 'Just Like Honey' 20th Anniversary Tribute (2015). 'Hachimitsu' was a million-selling album for the Japanese rock band Spitz in 1995. 'Hachimitsu' was written by Masamune Kusano, lead singer of Spitz. On the 20th Anniversary album, various artists covered the original tracks. This was the opening song. Akai Ko-en's version is a million miles from the jangly pop-rock original. (I was going to compare it to The Pretenders, and in fact the next song on the Spitz album uses the riff from 'Brass in Pocket'.)
