Charles McAdoo and Jacob Wilson both played for my Mankato Moondogs in the Northwoods League 2 years ago.

Craig Yoho of the Brewers was a massive snub for first half reliever. In 30 innings between A+ and AA he has a 1.20 ERA, 0.98 FIP, 47.9% K-rate, 8.4% BB-rate. Just huge movement on both his changeup, two seamer, and slider.

Someone to keep an eye on for the 2nd half might be Brandyn Garcia. Might just be the steel of the 2023 draft for the Mariners. Oh wait! That was the guy who went in the very next round the 12th round. Hehe😂

37:23 - Bailey doesn't excell defensively, this seemed to be the consensus at the time and boy did everyone whiff on that

He has been spectacular defensively. One of the best pitch framers and pop times in the sport.

Heston Kjerstad had a very nice game in the Orioles' loss to Cleveland in the series opener, his first back with the Birds. He went 2 for 4 with a double and played left field cleanly. I only saw the last few innings, but his 13-pitch battle against Hunter Gaddis, a quality Guardian reliever (1.47 ERA, 0.76 WHIP) was impressive. Despite eventually flying out, he gave every impression he's serious about sticking around this time. I'm pulling for the kid.

Chase Silseth for the Angels is pitching his way back from injury, building his arm up in the minors. Struggling a little bit, but he'll be fine.

Why are you working out the show format during the show? Do some prep so you don’t come off so disorganized.
@TheCallUpPodКүн бұрын
I'd argue the hour's worth of in depth information on dozens of players makes it clear prep is being done. We like to have the conversation free flowing.

Im a mariners fan and not happy that Walcott is in the Rangers system. That guy is a beast. He has over 300 AVG with .500SLG in last 10 games in high A as an 18 year old and a young 18 year old at that. That's ridiculous! Ridiculous!!

One thing about Harry Ford even though he plays in the Texas league his home ballpark is Dickey Stephens Park is very hard to hit home runs at. There's been a lot written on this. I would not worry about his power numbers while in double A his underlying metrics are significantly more important. Also he's only 21. Some of the best catchers in the majors didn't make their debut until they were 24. Patience my friends!😊

Would be interesting to get an updated analysis on Arroyo. Power is really coming along. Been on an absolute tear in June. You just never know when these teenagers will go bonkers. Wonder if the EVs back up the power numbers he has been putting up lately or if it's another Gabby Gonzalez type situation?

I've been tracking the Norfolk Tides closer this year with all the talent they have, and Billy Cook is flying way under the radar. He has a .882 OPS. He's a good athlete and he's keeping the K's down while walking a decent amount. Why is he so far down all the prospect rankings? He is 25, so I suspect that has a lot to do with it.
@mike-04518 күн бұрын

gonna ask again. Where do you guys think Kim Do-Yeong would fit in baseball prospect rankings if he were in the US? Kid has slowed down and is slashing just 341/402/594. 32 (17 dingers, 11 doubles, 4 triples) XBH in 69 games in the very high octane offensive league that is the KBO. 22 SB as well. Isn't there kind of a consensus that KBO skill is someplace between high A and AA ball? If there was a 20 y/o hitting like that in the high A ball, wouldn't he be garnering conversation?

Tyler Locklear is the 1b of the future for the Ms. Ty france wouldve been moved this past summer if he didnt stink it up last year and the GM has been talking about him coming up this year all off season. Ty france will be traded at the deadline for a RP or this offseason for something since he has 1 year left.
