@@Jazzfestn you're right. Malani, Mackey as well as DJ passed away. However they still have a very large following and the band performs using their video likeness incorporated with live singers who try to sound like them. I assume that it's with their families' blessings or they technically wouldn't be allowed to use their likeness in these live performances. It's still great, timeless music and yes, part of the songs that feature their likeness includes audio of them singing in previous concerts. So it is technically them. Nevertheless, I do understand your point.

I haven't been to DOS but twice since before Covid...but now that I know Wendell and you may be there, I'll aim to come by to say Hi! When did Wendel start playing wirh Henry? I know Konrad and am friends with him on FB and ran into him when he happened to come sit by me at the Smokey Robinson concert at the Shell last year? That was so crazy as it was assigned seating too! LOL..I saw on a friend's FB page while at the airport traveling from Dubai, that Henry was ending at Duke's?? And wrote to her to say,"What so you mean, Henry's ending at DOS? Do u mean Forever??? She was likely buzzed when she did that and only meant that he was playing his last song on the evening!! LOL...She freaked put many people who reacted the same way! 😅 Anyway I also saw Konrad's post thT he had been at Duke's this past Sunday as well!!

Hi there, Wendell actually played with Henry and C&K back in their heyday, and then went on to freelance with many of the local popular acts in Hawaii. In 1991 he started his own recording studio and recorded many of the local greats like Fiji, Kapena, a TON of local groups like 3 Plus, Sean Na'auao, Nohelani Cypriano. Too many to name, really... He's also played drums on hundreds of recordings. We expanded our studio and opened a commercial space in 2003, and were there until 2019. In 2019, we moved it back into our home, and he now records select clientele. Konrad went to work for the USPS in 2022, and Henry called Wendell to play. He loves it, as drumming is his first love. ❤ Thanks for your comment! 😊

Actually, for the price it's a pretty crappy looking buffet. Glad I didn't go there when I was in Vegas a few weeks ago

NO... the Wynn Buffet is not worth the cost! The crab legs were thin, little meat and what crab meat there was, is salty meaning "old." The shrimp were a little slimy and on the small side. The sushi display was pathetic. Most of the dishes were either greasy or what you would expect from a basic buffet near downtown Las Vegas. The desserts were uninspiring. The only bright spot was the prime rib. I felt totally ripped off. Do not waste your money. I was there in early February so this is a pretty recent visit.

We went in January and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your experience. Everything we ate was fresh and tasty. I guess that means we'll have to go and try again and see if it's gone downhill.

I was debating betweent his, the Wicked Spoon and Bacchanal buffets for my next visit. Are the other 2 a better value?

Honestly, we much preferred the Buffet at Wynn over Bacchanal, but the best thing I can suggest is to go and try both for yourself. We haven’t tried Wicked Spoon because we heard so many mixed reviews about it. Definitely #1&2 buffets are Wynn or Bacchanal and it’s just a matter of preference. Good luck and let us know where you went and which you preferred! We have 2 Bacchanal buffets we have to put up but I’ve been so slammed with school and work! Ugh I’ll get to them asap. Hope this has helped you a bit! Good luck!

Nice review of HK! We've only been once a while back for lunch. We also had the Beef Wellington and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Might give off that cafeteria feeling because its so bright and loud, much different that Gordon Ramsay Steak inside Paris. Thank you for sharing your dining experience!
