Thanks for sharing this comparison! I've been wondering about the practicality of the brass bar along the spine (PLOTTER) versus the two brass tabs. Does either get in the way of writing or scratch up your writing surfaces/desk at all?

Thank you for the comparison video! I saw a Wuzhi unbox and I thought the difference in the packaging was night and day compared to the Plotter packaging. Plotter packaging looked very hard and bold compared to Wuzhy’s which looked very soft and organic. I know that’s a detail some don’t care about but for me … I’ll take one of each please!

This is going to sound bizarre and beyond obsessive, but unlike others who naturally would be more curious about leather quality comparisons and ring mechanisms, I'm obsessing over the brush metal Plotter spine! I would gladly buy a Wuzhi and even found a colour I LOVE, but I'm drooling over that Plotter spine!! Saying that I don't know if I can justify paying double the price for a planner just for the spine! I have the impression that the Plotter is heavier and thus feels "nicer" in the hand and lays flat easier, due to the added weight of the spine. In your experience, is this the case and does the Plotter, irrelevant of leather, feel nicer to use? more substantial? or am I just obsessing for nothing? I do apologise for the long winded comment and would appreciate yours or anyone's input! :)

The custom I show in this video isn’t widened! I find that some companies standard size is wide enough to accommodate pocket plus with 20mm rings but others aren’t so it really depends!

Love your little planner! Can you list out all the customisation requests you had sent to Petra? I know you mentioned some in the video but I was hoping for the exact notes so I can mention the same in my order notes 😁 thank you!

Of course! I made quite a few customizations so I hope I didn’t miss any! I sent a lot of pictures to Petra of textures and planners I liked from others which really helped. Might be good to also send her pictures of mine or this video for reference? Customizations: - Outside + inside leather: JL brown (smooth on outside and textured on inside) - Outside + inside stitching: bianco nappa - No stiffner - Gold hardware - Chunky clasp - Exterior front slip pocket (+ automatic strap lengthening to accommodate pocket and I asked for this to be as deep as possible) - Left hand bottom pocket - Right hand flat zipper pocket (placed upside down so the zipper closure is at the bottom when zipped) - Remove inner stitching next to rings (I sent a picture to circle the stitching I wanted removed) - Widened pen loop to 13mm - Brown VDS tag

I cut up small page flags into thirds and they were a perfect fit! The specific ones I got where off Amazon called SATIVA (comes in 240 tabs though)

I’d recommend a bolder nib for better results in both the shimmer and the colour but it is a lighter shade

Thank you, I really enjoyed watching. Curious to know how you find shimmer inks with your fine/extra fine nibs. I tend to prefer extra fine but I’ve been ordering mediums, a broad and a stub to try out shimmer inks.

Shimmer and shading effects are more obvious in broader nibs but I haven’t had an issue with them in my wetter fine/extra fines. I find that if I don’t use the pen everyday, it might dry up faster and I need to run it under water to rewet it. I also love using shimmer inks without shaking it so it’s basically a regular ink but I feel like I get a two for one deal 😂

The Wuzhi one is slightly bigger (Wuzhi is 4.8”x7.2” and Plotter is 4.5”x7”) but I don’t notice a difference when using them. The refills are the same!

Hi Janette! Yes at the moment I have a month and a half worth of weekly inserts still in my planner! I don’t have as many notes and collections and the weeklies make up the bulk of my book at the moment! I have also a full year of monthlies in a thinner paper so if you used weeklies and notes in a thinner paper you should be able to fit in even more than I have

You have captured all the same things I feel about using my Plotter Bible size ring binder as a bullet journal. I was using the A5 Plotter in the same way, but I was finding that I didn’t need that much space. So I ended up purchasing. A Wuzhi Studios leather binder based upon your video and I use all the Plotter inserts and paper. I love the plotter paper and TRP paper so I do not feel restricted in the amount of pages I carry. But I typically just carry a month at a time besides the monthly calendars and then once the month is over, I archive it. I’ve never been able to make any other ring system work and would always go back to a bound book but these 11 mm rings give you the feeling closer to a bound book maybe more of spiral notebook feel but one that is pleasant to write on.
