This is now my favourite Liquid edit I've seen. He needs more! Hilarious song choice that somehow fits. Your transitioning is great, and I love how it's a tribute to his character across all his forms. "Synthesized like a Frankenstein" and flashing to his arm was creative.

This is fucking awesome, oh my lord. 1:30 to 1:41 is especially sick. "One taste of control, that is all he knows." I adored the entire Code Veronica segment; my favourite Albert by far. I really enjoyed how it slowly escalates, too, going from RE1 to 5. One of the best Resi edits I've seen. Good stuff.

If Dante wasn't stupid, he didn't leave yamato to nero at the end of dmc4. Pretty much anything that would have happend in dmc5 could have been prevented.

Dante though Vergil is pretty much dead and he kills the last Demon King(Argosax) in Demon World. Knowing Nero potential which he admit, that Nero would surpass him and none of strong demon exist in Fortuna, he just give it to him because Nero are indeed Vergil son.

royal guard isn't actually a strong skill of dante it's just him blocking and getting angry about having to block then letting out his rage for blocking

Hot take: Dante's Royal Guard and Vergil's Summoned swords don't exist in lore, they're just for gameplay. The closest we got was a sort of Royal Release when Dante awakened his demonic power.

Made me wish the scrapped Divergent Mode became a reality(rather than through modding), so Dante would Royalguard the fuck out of Urizen in the Prologue. But alas, that never came to be. I'm still very disappointed about it.

The thing is, when you actually do the math and find out how truly powerful dante and vergil are (which some guy on youtube made a video on it i dont remember their name) you realise none of these games make any sence, dante could probably explode the hole planet with minimal effort, yet he loses in a fight against half of his brother, which he effortlessly beats later despite him having consumed a fruit that made mundus so strong they barely beat him, how? By using a sword his dad gave him, which was supposed to be worse than the yamato, nothing really makes sence in the dmc franchise, but its still awesome

human blood is an extremely valuable resource of power for devils, qlipoth was feeding off human blood, sucking them dry, making urizen so strong, dante is weak when he fights the first urizen. when dante gets captured so that urizen can squeeze the power outta him the qlipoth mistakes dante for vergil and gives him power while urizen also feeds on the qlipoth. then dante absorbs the devil sword sparda, he becomes extremely strong and just beats the shit outta urizen twice. these also just compliment nero, a before sin devil trigger dante was loosing against a weaker urizen effortlessly while nero had a stronger urizen stand up and put out some effort while not having his dt yet

The power scaling that puts Dante above large continent level is EXTREMELY generous. There are enough anti-feats in the games to prove that Dante isn't some universe busting god. People just interpret a cutscene or hyperbolic statement to be as over the top as possible.

Do you remember the scene where Dante was defeated, sitting on something similar to a throne? Well, yes, the qlipoth tree was giving Dante the collected human blood, why? Because the qlipoth tree confuses Dante with Vergil.

It is ridiculous to me that Royal Guard was never really shown in any cutscene. I guess it is a very .. videogamey thing, which doesn't actually make sense, but it'd seriously be so sick. Someday when I got a PC I really would like to try 2d animate a Royal Release in slow motion

Same with Trickster. Dante uses it in DMC4 cutscenes as a showy thing but never again. He can rapidly teleport but chooses to run at things in cutscenes. Man forgot he's not a normal human.

@@shadovvwolfie790 In DMC5 there's two parts where Dante enters a scene "with a teleport" (Beginning of mission 13 and beginning of mission 18 cutscene I think), but with both of those they make it look more like there's some special effect over him landing after a long fall instead of an actual instant transmission. It makes it really weird, cuz I wonder what he can "canonically" really do. Also yeah, him running at shit like V combining with Urizen is always the dumbest shit when you think about what he's actually capable of
