It may look harsh, but this is often necessary to clear mucus or fluid from the lungs. The position the baby is in and how he’s being held by the jaw is fine. Think about it, babies meltdown and cry about every little discomfort. This baby is tolerating it well.

Question. What would you say in your ICU experience would you say has better percussion? The percussion from the vest, or the percussion from the P&V function in your ICU beds, because critical care beds have that option now days, in beds such as the Stryker inTouch bed, or the Hill-Rom Progressa bed!

I was patting my baby way harder than that, and got told off by several of the professionals dealing with my baby's case, as they said it wasn't nearly hard enough.

First why is the front cover of the vest machine removed? Secondly is it really necessary for this to be a 3d video?

How does medication get inside of it
@nerminaogric85923 жыл бұрын
The mouth piece has that green container where medications can be placed inside it. The medication is release throughout CPEP CHFO mode, but there is a setting to deliver only the medication if there is medicine left over at the end.

@@nerminaogric8592 Yes. the aerosol only mode, is an option that can be used, to allow the patient to rest at the end. Let's say, we have a patient who did a really really good treatment, during the CPEP, and CHFO, and now they just need to finish the rest of the medication, and they deserve a break after doing so well. You can place this machine on the aerosol administration only mode, and you can administer the rest of the medication that way.

Now Hill-Rom has the Volara System, which is the At Home Version of the MetaNeb. Unfortunately. Medicare does not see a bennifit in At Home therapies like IPV, or MetaNeb. I've began a last ditch effort to get some good airway clearance. I have the Vest and cough Assist. They are OK, but if I could get the Volara since I could not obtain IPV, well that'd be good. So I'm in the process of attempting to obtain the MetaNeb, AKA the Volara, and I haven't gotten denied yet, but I'm expecting that to happen. If this actually ended up in success, I would be MASSIVELY PROFOUNDLY SHOCKED!

Spelling Police here. The correct spelling is "benefit." "Bennifit" is not even close. Thank you for your time.

hello: is the idea of the 1000ml that the person/child would do the technique until the bottle was emptied? Can you explain why that amount exactly? Or why the 10min duration? I am finding that the pre-fabricated CPEP devices are too costly for our elderly patients with COPD, so perhaps this is a great and inexpensive way to provide an exercise for those that are productive.
