For 24 days you’re doing great! Some advice I’d give though is fix your grip. All fingers tight on the stick, with your index and thumb pinching the fulcrum of your stick gives you better control over it. You’ll start training your wrists and arms better that way as well.
@zooby11isbambam24 күн бұрын
Scoot your hi hat over. Also, keep your pinky underneath your stick, it will help with control 👍🏽

There he is again, 21 days later I guess. Sorry I missed the 19 videos in between. But really, you came from... what was it? Avenged sevenfold in video 1 to ghost notes in video 21 and you start struggling? Anyway, what I see as a problem is that an e-drum set is not as flexible as an acustic one. With an acustic drumset, the placement of the hi-hat in relations to the snare is far more lenient. But I like your technique of rising your right hand higher, to give your left habd more space. Keep at it bro
@dominikweber510627 күн бұрын
In addition, try playing woth your fingers and not your wrist while doing ghost notes. I can't fully explain how it should feel but check out some blast beat techniques.
@scorchthesun27 күн бұрын
Yeah lol i think what i struggled with most here was first the sticks hitting each other, and second, with ghost notes there's just a lot more to keep in mind, y'know? Just a lot more notes in general

@joelbuff3254Ай бұрын
It be like that sometimes. You’ll get it. It’s so easy a drummer can do it. At some point you will start to hit spots where shit just kind of starts working. From there my best advice is to watch KZbin videos and curse at the little kids crushing “Tom sawyer”. Keep on keepin on buddy. That’s what a good drummer does. Keep it movin. But for sure there is no substitute for hard work and practice.
@scorchthesunАй бұрын
Lmao that's great advice haha. And for sure there are moments where stuff just clicks (I had a lot of those when learning guitar). I think what helped me a lot in learning drums so far is the fact that i had to study how drums work, so that i could program the drums for my own music. Plus, always watching a lot of drum content, even when i had no idea wtf the drummers where even doing
