You have the last three songs correct but not in the order they should be. This is the order : #3 Sweet Home Alabama #2 Ramblin' Man #1 Free Bird

Lynyrd Skynyrd is incredible. They actually sounded better to live than recording. But how did leave ZZ Top off the list? La Grange was one of them songs that went, where did that come from? I went and bought the Tres Hombres Album. It was incredible, so I went I and got the first two albums as soon as I saved enough money. 3 Piece band with a huge sound.

Hank Jr was the best concert I ever been. Spartanburg Auditorium I thank 1982. I was in to rock. My Brother was listening to Hank. I was liking what heard from most of the bubble gum Rock at the Time. So I said I am going to see Hank with ya'll. Spartanburg is 10 miles from I live. Hank had a lot of rowdy friends here.

The Georgia Satellites were a great band. That album was great. And at this time there was a lot of bad music on rock radio.

I always love the story Blackfoot using Ricky's Grandfather on the Harp. This is one of the songs the first time heard, it was like "Where Did that Come From" It was so prefect. A great Tribute to Mr. Medlock.

So my question is who is the greatest rock band question mark Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers band it seemed to me a pretty much tie

The Allman Brothers started Southern Rock. Lynyrd Skynyrd perfected it.

You could have just randomly picked 20 Lynyrd Skynyrd songs and this list would have been more accurate

Most critics are undereducated on the Allman Brothers. They didn't have gimmicks and tricks, they just started it all and played a new kind of music. Any Southern officinato will conceded the ABB was at the top. All other musicians will concede their influence on all the bands that followed them. True icons and left a legacy of musicians that still come from the Allman orbit. The road goes on forever.

going off the grid: North Mississippi Allstars - goin' down south; Widespread Panic - ain't life grand & chilly wet water; Drive by Truckers - goddamn lonely love; a ton of sh*t by All Them Witches. Molly Hatchet - gator country

this list was obviously created by someone who did not live through the time period when southern rock was at its peak. its southern Rock, not pop, or country, how about next time you consult with a Boomer and perhaps you could get it right.

There’s no such thing as “Southerner rock”. Rock & Roll was Born in the South therefore everything else is labeled Rock.

Skynyrd ruled the mid 70s, but Allman Brothers are credited with the inventive term, Southern Rock, with Duane arguably being in the best top 5 guitarists of all time. On many lists, he is #1. Lynyrd Skynyrd was inspired by ABB, and they definitely own the "Rock" portion of the term but ABB will forever hold the "Southern" part.

You should play south Rockin N Rollin without talking about the Blues Bands. Just kick up the Bluesy music and play it Loud our not at all and I play it Loud all day long. There's so much good music out there I will never hear it all but I keep on looking for more.
