I remember the piles of laundry beside the twin tun growing up in a family of 12 and the house was cold on the morning until the fire was lit. My mam would have started the fire and then the washing. I was not scholgoing age but i remember the coldness of the house and the warmth of the twin tub. I used to lay down on the dorty laundry and wrap myself up beside the warm part of the twin tub,. I would get goosebumps and shivers all over then I'd grab a blanket or towel and wrap myself and would gall straight back to sleep..listening to this and reliving the memory helps me fall asleep. I still wrap a cover over myself no matter how cold or hot it is because it gives me a comforting effect. This video is my lullaby. Thanks for posting this video. It has really relieved my insomnia.

My rude ass neighbor definitely has a wash machine that keeps banging my wall at night super loud I knocked on the door they lie straight to my face saying no we don’t have one why would we lie. So this is definitely going to be useful to play on my speaker out loud when I’m gone to work 😅 karma is a b

I use to love evenings when mom would do the wash and I would stand by the machine after she started it. When I was a kid, the lids on machines didn’t have to be closed to operate. The water would fill and agitate anyway. As someone who loves water, I was fixated on the sight and sound of the water as it rose in the basin. And then when it started agitating I loved the sloshing sounds and watching the clothes be pulled to the bottom and come back up to start over again. The smell of the detergent water was so nice as well. I never stayed long because I was afraid my mom would think I was odd. Haha. Even so, I never felt like a weirdo. I just thought I was the only kid in the world who did this. Also, I liked laying by the bathtub as the water filled. It was a similar sensation, only I could stay longer because this was my bath time. I was in my own little world and felt so safe. Just me and the water. It was cool to find out many years later that there is a worldwide community who likes washing machine sounds. Who knew? Does anyone else have this strong attraction to water that includes Washing machines, baths, and showers? Love to read your stories? 😊

My teenage bedroom was in our renovated basement, privacy, freedom, and the sound of the laundry! Didn't realise how this sound was so attached to those memories! Instant relaxation response, though I have a strange feeling I have homework! 😂

Who knew that that the sound of a washing machine could be so soothing and comforting to listen to as you fall fast asleep I would also love a clothesline video where the sounds of it are herd while clothes are seen on it and while thats happening it also is seen moving the clothes that are on it if such a video like that existed for sleeping slash ambience purposes I would absolutely love to fall asleep to another soothing and comforting sound

Reminds me of when i was a kid. I use to turn on the shower and lay on the bathroom rug. Made a pillow and blanket out of towels. I would lay next to the tub and listen to the shower drops.

I used to gradually wake up on Saturdays to this sound, and the sounds of water going through the pipes while my mom and older sisters were helping out (I was granted the lawn mowing job in the evenings) This is awesome - so many memories! Wish my mom & little sister were still here!
