The RAF are training Ukranian pilots so the extra noise is for a good cause ..... Some of those brave young boys will be dead in a few months just because of someone else's ego , the best training gives them the best chance.... which is the sad reality of life... heartbreaking.

I agree.... ❤️❤️ these planes were f15s Americans they always fly over in 2s or 4s in line with the chimney pots & tops of the trees.... we get them low flying on a daily basis ...sometimes it feels like the windows will smash or the slates will fall off BUT I love seeing them but sadly they terrify Stripe... he is getting used to them but he jumps in my arms for cover when the Americans go over...🐶🐶❤️. I always like seeing the Hercules it's amazing how that plane can fly it's so big.... RAF don't come over here much but the Typhoons have started coming back recently.... amazing to watch them though..❤️❤️

Land girl look is proper practical... I have been rocking it for years.... or in my case scruffy 'chic'..( with dirty knees from the garden). every girl should have a set of dungarees .... my granddaughters love theirs ( their mum shops next, I shop Oxfam!) My nemesis is crochet, I just can't get the tension right and mix up singles and doubles.... Yet I can read a knitting pattern in Turkish... hey ho....

No I don't wash them I just shake the bits out first to get rid of anything that will stick to the rug & them the washing machine does the rest you can wash it first if you wanted to but I find that they only need the washing machine..... not a lot of dirt sticks to the wool as it washes off the sheep when its felted. have a lovely weekend.... xx😊😊❤️❤️

Thanks Maria I did enjoy spinning this one seeing how my hands-on worked with the commercial one.... turned out well ... My OCD is kicking off with all the lumpy bits!... adding tinsel would really send me over the top! 🤣 Love the cobalt blue. People pay a small fortune for those sit down stepping machines... all they need is a spinning wheel ,loom and a load of wool fibre... they could do themselves a cardigan! I think I would be getting my jumbo knitting needles out and making a blanket, using the skein you have leftover for the edging.... just the job for our 'blooming' freezing June! Have a good week..

I know what you mean about the tinsel I can't quite bring myself to add that into yarns ... I did do when I started spinning I was a bit more adventurous then....😂😂 I think they would have a lot more enjoyment too out of a spinning wheel & weaving loom..... those silly steps machine mess with my head.... 😂😂 it shows how cold it is im not usually doing woolly stuff this time of year as it melts in my hands ..... but I think this summer I will be spinning weaving knitting all the way through..... 😂😂have a fab week & see you again soon...😊❤️❤️🐔🐔🐔🐔🐶🐶💐🦋🦋🍄🍄

Hi Jen all is well here thank you...the weather is very cold n windy here too... Im sat here in a winter weight skirt & 2 jumpers we have also had the heating on this afternoon too...😒seems daft for June I want to wear my summer clothes...😒 Im very pleased with how the yarns have turned out I have one more to do then they can finally go off to their new owner...😊 I would love to hear how you get on with doing coils in one of my favourites to do especially trying to achieve a nice neat coil. Soo using stash yarn is a great way to practice.....I want to practice tailspun next with some Leicester long wool off the local farmer.😊😊 vlogmas is already in my mind for this year so watch this space I think it will be a spinning one again this year but just thinking it through. Creative people seem to have their fingers in many pies !!. When you have health difficulties it's good to have more pleasurable distractions like Stripe . Also following your smallholding vlog... .. I am trying to concentrate on finishing my WIPs..... this week I completed my Aran sweater after 12 months. ... I put it down due to interruptions from knitting for grandkids, making bunting, doing alterations for neighbours, a bit of gardening and arthritis flare ups and a few falls ..... but hey ho it's done.... just in time for better weather.. I am a beggar for looking in the bargain bins at charity shops and cannibalising old clothes for buttons, zips, bag findings etc ... My Aran sweater was knitted from free wool acquired via freecycle.. someone had started a project and got bored.... I unpicked what was done and re knitted to my own pattern... enough wool left for a cardi for the grand daughter. Got a half finished quilt top next .....😄

Hibsorry for the delay in replying....I have a septic tank too & I don't seem.to have any problems so far... but it's a great way to get a quick rug without having felt.it yourself.... but you will need to clean the machine out afterwards... hope this helps...have a great week...🙂🙂❤️❤️

Hazel your a woman of many talents. I have tried to crochet and just can't do it. My friend can crochet and she tried to teach me, but she has given up now, too painful to watch me.🤣. You are so clever Hazel. I cannot knit to save my life, I've tried and ppl have tried to teach me but I just can't get to grips with it. Sewing is my thing. My Mum died many years ago, she was a fabulous knitter. My Aunty used to kindly knit things if I found a pattern I liked but she sadly has dementia now. I admire anyone that can knit or crochet. I come on here as I follow you on your other channel, you may not remember me from Surrey 😊 even tho I can't knit I love to see all the things you do xxx

Hi Susanne.... thank you yes im feeling much better getting on top of the allergy now & learning how & what i can eat but Im getting there... I love the colours you have chosen for that chevron jumper! I think it will look beautiful as a cardi. I very much enjoyed your company, I snuggled up on the sofa with my little ones and we watched as they fell asleep on the sofa cuddling. I enjoyed hearing about all your projects, I normally watch your other channel too. Our puppy wore me out last year, beef tails really helped with her teething in the end, but untill they loose their teeth puppies really are intense. Well done with all your beautiful makes ♡ xx

Love everything you're planning on Knitting, I agree about buying a book and wanting to make everything that's in it so worth the money. I've just done the same, I bought the book for the Pattern that's on the front and looking through it, I would like to make almost everything that's in it. I have another book that I bought and because it has colour work in all the patterns so I'm thinking of doing that in some Handspun Yarns, I think the Fleece when spun would be perfect. I'll keep you posted on that one. The Handspun Yarns you've done from the Drum Carder series look amazing, they'll look so beautiful when plyed together. I have no idea how I missed this video Hazel. Might be because over Christmas we had our house full with the kids and I was very busy. It was a lovely video and I did enjoy popping into church with you. I love your hair worn up, it looks lovely. Christmas cakes looked yum. So inspiring, all those beautiful fiber projects😍🧶. Love your gingerbread jumper, I have down loaded the pattern, might challenge myself and have a go at getting back into knitting🤔. What a generous gift the attic 24 blanket was, the ripples do look beautiful. You can do the burn test burn the end of the yarn and see if it melts. If so, then there’s acrylic in it if it just burns and singes, then it’s just natural hair.

I enjoyed your catch up. Thank you. I have become a selfish knitter as well. 🤭 I have gifted little things but have even become more selfish in that area lately. I really am a generous person overall, but I was finding that I wasn't taking the time to make things (or finish them) for myself. Things that I really wanted to do, like make another sweater (jumper). That takes a long time. I love wearing my handmade socks. Those take me awhile also. I'm just not a fast knitter. I have other interests like sewing, quilting and mending. I can't seem to get to those projects if I'm making things for other people. I have a basket of socks to mend, and that's important. The wind chills are down to negative 20 Fahrenheit where I am in Michigan right now! Anyway, your sweaters are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your ideas for living this year. I'm looking forward to hearing about the progress as the year goes on. I am also working on paring down my spending this year and hopefully increasing my garden productivity this summer. Take care, stay well, and stay warm. :)

hellooo thanks for tuning in its lovely to have your company😊😊 It sounds like I'm in good company I take ages too knitting as i just dont get alot of time & I agree I think when you invest so much energy into knitting a jumper or cardigan its very difficult to let it go....Ive done it once & my mum loves her jumper & wears it all the time but i just havent been able to do it again...😊😊I say to myself every year i will start my christmas knitting in January so I have plenty of time but it always ends up being a sprint to the finish line for christmas so alas its always hats & cowls for everyone...😃😃I think knitting is to be relaxing & enjoyed so we must come first...😃😃 I too look forward to hearing about your garden progress & your knitting hopefully 2024 will be a productive year for the both of us... have a lovely rest of your week...😊😊❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🐓🐓🐓🐓🍄🍄☃️☃️☃️⛄⛄🐭🐭🐭❄️❄️

Hi Hazel, lovely video with all your lovely finishes and WIPS. I won a beautiful bundle of yarn from Blacker yarn when Nola and I attended Yarndale in 2018, it included 2 skeins of lace weight St Kilda wool. I haven’t knitted any of it yet but after seeing you today am thinking of a cowl. Yeah! Re the socks. They are looking lovely. If you decide you want to do a knitted heal Winwick Mums free pattern and tutorial is so easy to follow. As you know she is by far my favourite sock knit designer. Your coasters turned out great as did the new jumper with the 3/4 length sleeves. I love the cable cardie too. I’m tempted to knit one in Winter. Well I had better finish my first Treasure Knit sock (Winwick Mums KAL this year) and cast on the 2nd one. Xx ❤️🌺

Thank you for sharing your finished and to-be finished projects. Your purple jumper looks nice and cosy. You did a great job. I don’t think it’s selfish to not give away your jumpers, all those hours and money to buy or make the wool to knit them, may not be as appreciated by the receiver compared to yourself. Smaller things, like the coasters, would be a little easier to give away. By the way, the coasters turned out really nice. You mentioned that you’re thinking about not using the word knitting in your title and asked us viewers for suggestions. I’m not sure what you could use. I will say the word knitting in your title drew me to your channel. I can imagine it must be very hard to think of a title. As always, I enjoyed your video. Have a wonderful week 🧶🪡
