I’ve spent the last couple weeks driving TRD off-road and the Pro-4x for comparison purposes. If your primary use is off roading then by far the Tacoma is the better buy. But if you’re using your truck as an everyday driver with some medium difficultly trails occasionally then the Pro-4x is your better option. I went with the Pro-4X because of the creature comforts and my use case scenario. The Pro-4x is priced like a regular TRD off road not the Pro model. Definitely a value for money proposition there. You can’t go wrong with either vehicle. They are both great and I enjoyed my time with both.

You gave an excellent presentation on your vehicle problems, especially the Starter Relay issue. I have a 2007 Tundra 5.7L LTD I bough new and have 122k miles on it. A couple days ago my starter stopped working. At first I turned on the key to start it but heard no clicking. I pulled out the starter relay like you did and put it back in as I did not have a wire jumper then. Now I hear a click which could be coming from the starter solenoid . Still troubleshooting this, but I am suspecting a starter motor. If that is the case, unfortunately at 88yrs I am not nimble enough to attempt to replace it after seeing other KZbin videos where it iis a real bear to replace. So if that is it, I will have to get it towed. Money Money outgo is in my future...LOL as I write this if my further testing points to bad starter. P.S. you give an excellent presentation, do more of these on any subject.

@@JakeTiesler I did do the jumper and only hear a click. I tested the relay to be sure it was good, and it was. So everything points to the starter. I'm going to try tapping on the starter to see if it will run when the key is turned to start the truck. If that don't work ,I'm going to take it to the Toyota dealer I get my repairs done at. Ever since I fell off a ladder and messed up my back I can't lay under the truck like I used to. They quoted me 1700 including the new starter motor and they estimate 6hrs labor by their book. In any case I'm grateful I ran into you channel. 🤗

AC went bad early on in my 2015. Dealership said it was a bad evaporator. Back up camera started cutting out intermittently. Dealership told me nothing was wrong. Years later there’s a recall for it. Early this year the water pump gave out. Now, I noticed a clicking sound coming from the shifter above 30mph. I read some comments that it may be a loose sticker on the drive shaft. Hopefully that’s it 😔

never changed the timing belt on my 2001 sequoia in 290k miles. when we eventually sold it, we went to do maintenance to make sure the vehicle was safe (the frame was rusting pretty badly, unfortunately. the only real issue with this car). the timing belt still looked brand new, like 0 wear and tear. replaced it anyway, but still. bulletproof suv, just needed better steel for the frame.
