Hey! I have the same car and have a leak at the drivers side cv axle seal. I bought the Autozone part but I saw your video and I think I need the part #2007N. Did 2007N fix your issues?

@@joshfletcher1377 Yes it did. I haven't done the other side even though it's okay but one day I'll get to it. The seal I bought was from O'Reilly's not AutoZone and I like the fit. It's much better than the stock one.

For the life of me I was looking for the readiness monitor on the D7, gave up went to my INNOVA OBD2 scanner (1/4 the price) for fast and clear if vehicle ready or not. Other than that the D7 is pretty good but not for older cars, many feature don't work, might as well get a cheap scanner where simple is better. Oh one more issue, D7 touch screen doesn't respond well during very hot days while having no problems with the INNOVA. I forgot to mention the D7 is very slow, asking questions (had to enter VIN number for older cars for one, touchpad won't work on hot days) taking a few minutes to start scanning, the INNOVA a few seconds and no questions asked just right to the point if car ready or not.

@@kimchee94112 Yes they all have their good and bad slides. The big scanners have more features that you have to dig through. The Innova is great for quick checks as you mentioned but slow when updating it.

Good luck getting the A30M to do any updates, And now my D7 is doing the same thing They both say internet anomaly when trying to update and I've tried updating them on friends routers and it says the same thing after trying it just stops downloading updates. The d7 is only 2 years old with 3years of free updates

@@johnmitchell8925 That's weird. I have been updating it with no problems. On the updates setting I think it is, it tells you when you started and when your updates end. 3 years as far as I know. Maybe they're having issues. Haven't tried updating it the last couple of days myself. Also try updating it late at night since there's a time difference.

I have one similar but it has two screw down bolts on top. They have lights that are rechargeable that have the batteries built in. I also have a white one rechargeable that is British made.

Apparently there was recall in 2017 on this problem but the window Mazda would fix it only lasted through part of 2018. I didn't realize that and I have the same problem. Leaving it unfixed has since damaged my display so I recommend trying this but replacement is likely needed.

Hey there, I just was curious if the tcm you repaired is still holding up and working well? I have a 2009 Mazda 3 that's been sitting for about a year and all signs have pointed to something wrong with the tcm, and I'm debating on sending it in, paying the $300 to have it fixed or just attempt it myself. Thanks, and I really appreciate all the video recordings. I wish we all recorded are own fix it videos to share.

@@djtrykle Hey. Unfortunately that only works for a bit, then the car started doing the same thing since I also didn't replace any of the components inside it. We ended up buying the new dealer TCM. It's working fine now. I recommend just doing the new TCM event if it's not cheap because it will just work. The only thing I did do is moved it to the firewall instead of above the transmission. It just gets too hot there. I meant the whole engine does but the transmission tends to get hotter.

Hello... Just wanted to ask what was happening with the starter before you replaced it...? Mine starts fine when cold always...but when its hot out and I've driven for a while I have to wait for 30 minutes to let it cool down and then it will start...

No need. You lose what's in the reservoir and maybe a little bit more I just added what I lost and checked it again later to make sure it was at the correct level.

Yes but the updates stopped at two years. I think it was actually before that. Other than that it still works. They have one that does key programming. They don't have that on this one.

This was really helpful as it’s the only video on youtube showing this process and as a beginner it was really useful. One bit of feedback would be that it probably could have been edited a lot shorter as there were long periods where you were just cleaning it without saying anything or doing anything different. Hope you do more videos like this in the future thanks again!

I'm glad it was helpful. You're right about the editing but honestly that takes a long time sometimes and I just hate doing it. But I do try. If you have the parts you may be able to fix the tcm. Unfortunately I didnt have any and was unsure if it would work. So I got it to work a bit but in the end just had to get a new one. I showed everything on the videos including the new part in the last video. Thanks for the feedback.

@@myshots101 Yet you're replacing the previous one because it didn't work fine. Yeah, That can happen to any dashcam - my comment was regarding the camera resolution and the ability to read a license plate while on the move. Even 4K cameras struggle with this at closer ranges than you would expect.

@@TheCSRTech Yeah the old dash cam came broken so I tried fixing that, hence the reason I changed it. Also obviously the small cameras are not true 4k if you think they are. Although there are some with better image quality they still won't work that great all the time.

Paid for itself when an idiot in a Volvo slid into my car in the snow. My car was a write off but it showed exactly what happened and showed her lies up to the insurers (she wasn't aware of the dashcam). I ruined it when I tried to put the SD card back in so have bought a similar cheap one. I had intended fitting a 10" mirrorcam principally as a reversing camera as rearward vision was limited. Don't need that now as car was replaced. Both the new and the old camera have/had a rearview camera but never fitted.

Yes. This fixed mine too. Mine turned out even better. Use the best, thickest industrial adhesive. Note: it is NOT just warping of the top piece. The main issue on mine was the bottom piece moving out toward the driver. That caused the clip to break. I had to get help to push it back and add the weight.

It's 200 degrees Fahrenheit! At 200 degrees Celsius, the oil would be close to bursting into flames on the stove. Be Careful Kids if you try this at home. The ATF in the trans never gets to 200 degrees C, or your trans would be dead in a few miles. Heat the ATF to 200 degrees F.
