I spoke to you today at the Laurens "Squealing in the Square" about another Cougar being built with the Mustang fastback. Here is a link to it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGicaXqqq8p1e68

I appreciate the comment. Any of my possessions are technically for sale, but I am not marketing it currently. If you are ever in the upstate of SC stop by to see it.

McDonald's bathroom sink! 😂😂 The 60s were fricken wild. I love the pink appliances. hopefully you got a better camera or learned contrast, because the lighting was horrible on this one. Otherwise it was a great video.

Good points. Try some of my other video's and tell me what you think. Camera on the Mercury Cougar Fastback video seemed fine. Thanks!

The factory rear seat and deck are original and not like the Mustang fastback with the fold down seat and rear vents on the sides of the body. These parts should have been interchangeable.

Cougar is 3" longer wheelbase than a '68 Mustang. I chose to extend the Mustang roof by 3" and incorporating a quarter window, as that was my preference over the slots on the sail panel. It gives a longer look, more like the '69 Mustang. Extending the roof also gave more rear seat headroom (slightly). This is why those pieces are not used, as is. These changes are subtle but set it apart from a Mustang roof on a Cougar.

I want to know what brand model the appliances are . ❤

The stove is a Magic Chef propane stove. Many of the trailer homes in the 50's featured Dixie brand propane stoves. My video of a 1951 Spartanette and my 1959 Marlette have Dixie stoves (pink). Magic Chef brand name started in 1929. In 1958 Magic Chef was purchased by the Dixie Products company of Tennessee, and they chose to keep the name of Magic Chef over Dixie. By 1960 the stove is named Magic Chef even though it is just a rebranding of the same Dixie stove. The refrigerator is a GE. The TV is a Philco "Seventeener" model. Thanks for your question.

My worldly possessions are all marketable. Let me know if you are serious to pay a premium over an unmodified Cougar of similar condition.

Recently hurricane ties have been added to this single wide mobile home. It has been in the same place for 64 years with no issues, despite many storms over that period.

When homes like this trailer that has various colored sinks, cabinets, appliances, etc, is mesmerizing. Everything that is either white or stainless steel nowadays is just boring.
@vintagemobilehome26855 ай бұрын
Agree. And Chevrolet and others were doing it as well in the late 50's with two tone paint, pressed aluminum panels, rocket hood ornaments. This is an incredible time period, captured so well in cars and mobile homes.
@sped69545 ай бұрын
I can totally see myself living in this and enjoying life. This home has something in common with many, many American cars of the era... The forward slant of the front, which gives it an in motion appearance even though it's stationary. This looks like it's in remarkably great condition given its age.
