Oh dear, oh dear. Having gone through Army basic training and further training in an infantry regiment, this crap makes me bloody laugh! What the army takes nearly nine months to achieve, the RAF Regiment did in ten weeks when I joined in '73. It was more intense and a great deal more physically demanding than anything that I did in the army. Thing is Rocks don't live like pigs and eat crayons. Apart from that there's no difference.

Royal Military Police, and all Service Police, are not recognised by the Home Office as Police Officers. They have little, if any, authority over civilians despite what they might think and say. They are good at locking up pissed squaddies on Saturday night, not so good at investigating actual crime. They tried to stitch up a mate of mine at Tidworth for an assault that he could not have possibly have committed, and the Navy version tried to shaft me and a mate for burglary after we had spent a couple of days working on a Navy base.

They don't do a popular job but it's an important job.

The reason the army basic training has gone weak is because they now use CAPITA to recruit and send out flyers like "snowflakes we want you for your compassion. This clearly attracts the wrong calibre of recruit. Also our really woke society has managed to infiltrate. They changed the fitness standards to make it easier. And a classic example would be Company Sergeant major from the rifles RCO's a range due to low manning. And says nobody is failing this ACMT. Nobody should be getting a friends in the butts paper pass especially a recruit but it happens. The rifles DIT is true aswel.

This is the first episode where you have mong civilians starting to get acclimatised ... I'm a Vboat submariner veteran, elite of the elite .... Elite being para troopers, royal marines and submariners ..I was the next stage above ...no ego ...just based on what you had to achieve ..the "no chances" of failure,the responsibilities and stresses of the role far exceeding what the army have to contend with ... Every sailor starts out in phase 1 training where we learn to do everything a soldier does and then more to do with nautical training. Running once you're fit ..and guarding army bases ..firing little bullets and overall just being cannon fodder does not compare to managing 40+systems including those in direct relation to the nuclear missiles ... I've steered a £1.1 billion sub carrying the most destructive and powerful ordinance ..under the longest ever continuous military operation ..carrying 135 specialists of the greatest importance to this country....I was under the water for 4 months, no surfacing,no phone,no contact. We are the senior service and we invented tanks under the royal land ship committee. We manage and maintain a far greater area than the cumulative land mass and army can. We not only train in your roles but we are also firefighters and have to contend with the sea and all that brings. The army ..whilst pushed as greater to get more recruits in to feed the grinder ...pale compared to our lineage,scope and capabilities ...the royal marines are part of the RN changing their name from the fleet protection group .....sbs is at least on par with the sas if not greater. We are more than track athletes with rifles ...

It's not just the British Army..... I joined the Royal Navy 10 years ago this month, I did just 10 days at HMS Raliegh. I was horrendously bullied by one of the training PO's. I never did anything to upset him and had zero history with this bloke. I was a model sailor and did everything to the letter. However, that didn't matter he made sure my brief time was made a living hell. Not just the normal basic training crap. I was singled out constantly. On my 11th day at HMS Raliegh, I suffered a series of panic attacks and night terrors. I was medically discharged the same day. That man ruined any chance of a naval career before it even started. I attempted to complain both to the medical staff at Raliegh and again after I got home, but nothing ever came of it, and according to linkedin, he is still serving to this day. This left me with a distain towards the british military as a system as having done my research all branches and arms of the british military are rife with bullying, misconduct and archaic behaviour. Since leaving, I got a job as a Bench Joiner / Cabinet maker. I come home every night to my mrs and young kids. I often wonder what could have been had I been assigned a different PO. But it is what it is, I guess.

I've just dropped into this ignorant "Loath-Fest". In my "brief & inglorious service" with the RMP, the majority of the time was spent: aiding young Toms in vulnerable (alcohol-fuelled) situations, counselling domestic tensions, clearing-up traffic accidents and maintaining the British Army's reputation. In addition, there were operations with other government agencies, to confound this nation's enemies; these lazy diatribes, against this Corps, are rather pathetic!
