Excellent story and video. I've never owned a Mustang but my family members have. This story of the Mustang II was educational. I do remember an in-law whose sister owned a "74 Mustang II Ghia. It had a nice looking interior.......manual sunroof and all. It was a 4 speed manual transmission and yes, it lacked horsepower, but so did most cars from that era. I also remembering teaching her how to drive a stick shift 🤣....that was whole different story. Overall, it was a very nice car. Thank you for the history lesson on this. A lot of information I was unaware of and now appreciate. Very impressive.

My second car was a Mustang II Cobra. White with red stripes. I did modify the engine with intake, 4bbl carb and headers. What a fun car. Surprised a lot of Nova and Duster drivers. My wife learned to drive a stick shift in that car. We were at a stop sign and it was on a little bit of a hill. I told her to start letting the clutch out slowly and when she felt the clutch engage, take her foot off the brake and gas it. Her first Pro-stock burnout!! Eventually traded it in on a Ford Fiesta.

The real black eye to the Mustang brand… Mach E🤢
@robertkennedy84203 ай бұрын
Agreed. I’ve driven them. They’re nice vehicles - but (IMO) they shouldn’t wear Mustang badging. I worked for Porsche when they started building the Cayenne, back in 2003. They had the good sense not to badge it as “911.” I’ll forever believe Ford should have badged it “Model E” instead. Thanks for watching. Please feel free to subscribe. Thanks. And good news, since filming this and quoting 3 books sold under the “60 by 60” sale, 7 more have sold. So we’re 10 books in toward 60! But yes, the S550 was a really wonderful car for the money. Personally, I think the EV push is premature and I hope Mustang has a long and profitable ICE (or even hybrid) future ahead of it.
