Hi Annie, it's a ride I've done a few times, a bit of everything. Took about 6hrs with lots of stops and some side tracks. The trip from Launceston around Ben Lomond and back home was 216km. I'll try to remember to add those details in future. Cheers, XT

That beaver tail on your mosko bag should be installed with the molle webbing on the outside so you have extra mounting points. That plastic side is your map or ppwrk pouch.

we road into that hut 7 years ago 😁 came in along the right hand side of the lake and followed the track up along the lake 🙃was a good ride but this was in winter and was a lot of water laying around 😢👌was on my DR650 at the time and think i dropped it 3 or 5 times 🤔😂 love to do it again one day 🤔 keep well mate 😉🍺

Hi Greg, thanks for the mention about RtB and Honeysuckle Rd. Now I know what is at the end of that road, as you know our route turns sharp left at the junction and through a creek. If you take the RtB route from that intersection the roads are better. Would you believe this road is my favourite and a number of other friends of RtB. Awesome video mate. Well done. Darrel RtB

Better know as B'nang Highway..."road of a thousand corners". Ridden a number of times over years,, less and less dirt each time. Another fun ride is the Barry Way thru Buchan to Jindabyne - more dirt this way. I enjoy you videos, thanks. Leon

20psi 😮 on my bikes i used to run 15psi front and rear , (d606 tires) and didnt matter if just me or with all my camping gear would still run 15psi with no flat tires 🙃👍 although the d606 has stiff side walls compared to some other tires 🤔i found the mt21 front tire to soft in the side walls and needed 20-ish psi to handle as good as the d606 ( hate the mt21 and will never get another one ) 🤬 sweet tracks man 😎🍺

I've got pretty worn MT21 tyres on the crf300 and D606 tyres on the crf250. I've been happy with both brands but haven't tried running as soft as you do. I'll go for the 606 next time and try lower pressure as you suggest. Cheers, Greg

@@xplortas i had a mt21 go flat at low speed (first gear) one day and the darn thing was trying to come of the rim ,never again , and a mate put one on his bike and got a flat at 80ks , came of the rim and put him in hospital for a couple of weeks and bike was a wright of 🤬

How cute to capture that bumblebee in flight. Nice.... That Tiger snake certainly didn't seem troubled by your presence, I haven't seen one this season in southern Tas, which is surprising. The trouble, and correct right if I'm wrong, is with that selective logging, which appears to be the case where you rode through, there is no protection from the wind from other trees like it would be the case in a forested area. Thanks for sharing your video and as always, I enjoy watching you explore the top of our state. Cheers Darrel

Great to see you back with the videos. My word haven't we had some shocking weather here in Tassie recently. Down south has been just as bad. I suspect the RtB Route will have trees across it😩 Nice to see the wildlife in your videos and capturing the Kookaburras singing. Thanks Darrell, yes since we got back to TAS at the start of the month it seems like the wind has hardly stopped but we missed the extreme wind that knocked over Al these trees. There's no doubt the RTB route will have trees across it! It's been a bonus to see the wombats, very unusual to see so many in one day. Hi there, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you but I've been away again. I've provided a summary in the comments section of the video. All up I'm carrying around 25kg of gear on a camping trip but about 11kg if this goes on every trip in the bush. The camping stuff (tent, sleeping bag, food, clothes etc) accounts for around 14kg. Yes, the heavy bike is much more of a handful to muscle around, and the tyres weren't full off road so a bit slick at times making for interesting outcomes. There are heaps of tracks in that region, this was the first one I've been on

Hi Annie, yes a little challenging. There were a few washouts but not too bad with the right tyres. That last bridge was a concern but we were running out of daylight to find another way out and all were getting tired with a few spills having already happened. We didn't go to the Falls but we had all been there previously and time was a bit short. Regards, XT

Hi Annie, sunny but chilly lately. It's a great little track, need to duck under branches here and there, & some really good views across a valley. Bit of a steep descent to Weise Rd (or climb if going the other way). Perfect for a baby beemer 😊. I'm pleased you like the music. Cheers.

Chris Haugen has some good free music on KZbin. It's hard to find nice music that isn't synthetic electronic stuff, but you've chosen a few good ones too! Hope you have a good ride in the smoky Mts. Hi Annie, thanks for your comments. Yes the weather has been amazing. I went out riding yesterday from about 8am to 4pm, another nice sunny day. Saw 2 deer, 3 wombats, 1 wedge tail eagle & heaps of wallabies. You've got a good bike for off-roading
