@@Yanaznaet Great question! Snoring is the ultimate compliment in a sound healing session. it means someone is really relaxed! That said, gentle reminders at the start of the practice to stay aware of their breath or posture can sometimes help. But hey, a little snoring just adds to the symphony, right? 😄

Hi, thank you very much for posting this video, it is very useful! I would have a question, though. After a recent sound bath (I always ask for feedback) one of the participants said that the way I use the ocean drum is "offbeat". He often listens to ocean waves or ocean drum sound recordings and they are more rhythmical than the one I do. Would you have any recommendations on what should be the ideal rhythm and if there should be any at all? Thank you very much in advance!
@soundquestacademy2 ай бұрын
@@veresjuditeszter I’m so glad you found the video helpful - thank you for sharing your question! The ocean drum can evoke powerful sensations, and the way you use it really shapes the experience for your participants. There’s no single ‘right’ rhythm, but rather an approach that best connects with the energy of your session and the group’s needs. Generally, you can experiment by letting the drum mimic natural wave patterns, starting with softer, slower rhythms, and gradually building or shifting as you go. This ebb and flow can invite a sense of calm and natural immersion for your participants. However, each sound healer has their unique touch, and often, finding that rhythm that resonates is a blend of intuition and technique. I’d love to dive deeper into this with you and help you refine your approach to the ocean drum and more. If you’d like, let’s book a complimentary coaching call where we can explore this in detail and address any other questions to elevate your practice. Hello, I’m curious about your microphone/speaker set up for sound baths where sound amplification is appropriate. What are your specs? When is it needed vs not in your experience? Thank you!
@soundquestacademy5 ай бұрын
Hi there, Thanks for your question! For sound baths where sound amplification is appropriate, I use a high-quality condenser microphone paired with a portable PA system. Specifically, I use the Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone, which captures the subtle nuances of the instruments beautifully, and the Bose S1 Pro system for clear and powerful sound amplification. In my experience, sound amplification is needed in larger spaces or outdoor settings where the natural acoustics may not carry the sound effectively to all participants. For smaller, more intimate indoor settings, I often find that amplification isn’t necessary, as the natural resonance of the instruments is sufficient. I hope this helps! Do you know what the small mics are, next to the crystal bowls?
@dentReviews2 ай бұрын
@@sebastianschlenker9100 They're pencil style condenser mics. If I had to guess, they are Audix f9 mics. But he'd have to verify to be sure. I'd say i'm 95% sure... They would work pretty well as they are cardiod pattern and have a roll off in the low bass and a slight upper treble presence. Bowls have a very strong resonant frequency, so this would lend well to not having to do much extra EQ to get a good sound...

Hello! What stand you suggest for a 40” gong?
@moutussiacharyya75106 ай бұрын
Humming and chanting have been part of ancient religious practices and social rituals like community celebrations and festivals to exalt and calm as well as energise the nerves. Chanting of the sanskrit mantra om is a common yoga practice to send energy vibrations throughout your body. Such humming and chanting as well as causing vibrations by striking tibetan singing bowls or gongs or ringing bells or strumming guitars or sitars or violins can also calm and energise the nervous system. Much better than striking your body to stimulate the netves. Any kind of reverberation is good, even sitting in a jacuzzi or a massage chair.
@soundquestacademy6 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your insights! You’re absolutely right-humming, chanting, and using instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and even modern instruments like guitars and violins can profoundly impact our nervous system. These practices have been integral to many ancient and contemporary spiritual and social rituals for their ability to calm and energize. The vibrations and sounds produced during these practices create resonant frequencies that can help balance the body’s energy, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. It’s fascinating how these techniques work on both physical and energetic levels, sending soothing vibrations throughout the body. Your mention of the Sanskrit mantra “Om” is also spot-on. Chanting “Om” during yoga or meditation helps align the mind and body, promoting a sense of peace and well-being. Similarly, the reverberations from a jacuzzi or massage chair can provide a different yet effective way to stimulate the nervous system. Sound healing is truly a versatile and powerful practice. Whether through traditional instruments, modern technology, or our own voices, it offers a holistic approach to health and well-being. Thank you for highlighting these wonderful practices! FYI, Another kind of singing bowl. The Lingam Singing Bowl boasts a unique center protrusion inspired by the sacred Hindu symbol representing masculine creative energy. Crafted meticulously by skilled artisans, these bowls enhance therapeutic resonance for a profound sound experience. Packaged with a mallet and cushion, it’s ideal for sound therapy sessions, embodying masculine or yang energy. Made in india. Clean gently: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away dust or debris from the surface of the bench. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the wood finish. Store properly: When not in use, store the bench inside the cotton bag in a dry and well-ventilated area to prevent moisture buildup. There are also singing bowls made of stone in india, I have forgotten the name.
