IF it seems strange Imagine how its like for us irish,we have our own unique sports gaelic football and hurling ,but college is not really a thriving part of sport here ,totally alien to us,you micht get 3000 for the college championship game but thats the height of it and the rest of the time just family and friends.Of course loads of money for the economy see we are not complaining

I had such a bunny nest in my front lawn. I did peel back the loose grass and for to see at least a couple of babies with their eyes open. I let them be for about a week and yesterday looked in the hole and it appeared that there wasOne bunny that apparently died and is still in the hole. What should I do with it?

Found one mowing my yard. Didn't see it until I went over it with the mower and one popped out and ran. Found him an hour later, and with dirty garden gloves, picked him up and put him back. They are all chilling now, and I hope the momma comes back.

Interesting that God does indeed provide. It can be called survival of the fittest but this is way too specific for genetic chances.

Hi Brian. Great video! Since last winter, I've fallen in love with the rabbits in my yard. We're now best friends. My (wild) rabbit, Jaxie, will now kiss me on the nose if I lie down for her (which she likes). Late one night, she breastfed her babies right in front of me! I'll never forget it. She lets me pet her and comes to see me twice a day. She taught her babies that they can get treats from me, and now who I'm sure is her baby boy (I call him J.J.) comes to see me at night. Unfortunately, I suspect that Jaxie lost most of that litter (in the spring) to a housecat next door. The other evening, I had to chase away a family of raccoons that interrupted my feeding session with J.J., it was very crazy - they were all hissing at me, one chased J.J. but didn't get him, and I'm surprised my neighbours didn't come out to see the commotion, as I growled very loudly and hit the deck with a broom I keep nearby. I'd considered leaving something out to deter raccoons (and any other predators), but don't want to deter my dear pals either. Also, with Jaxie, I've managed to get her to be friends with my other animal friend, Charlie the chipmunk. I'm in the process of compiling footage of my life with them, it's amazing to see the three of us together! Sorry for the long winded comment. Thanks for the great footage and I'll let you know when my video is completed. Keep it up with your cute pals there and chat any time.

thanks for watching the video. It is fun watching the rabbits grow up. I have a few this year who just keep eating as the dog and i walk past. They do seem to get used to people.

TY... this was so informative - i just saw the babies bunnies today. They were so tiny - it didnt occur to me that they would nest in the middle of my YARD - rather short sighted of me *since i call my yard a "RABBIT@" instead of a "HABITAT"... ty, again, for the information. ❤ i will put off the moving - *they are so cute... they are so cute, that their cute is even cute...*

@@BriansArtforAnimals i was just think of you (and them) not even a hour ago. So nice to have gotten a reply. Perfect timing i don't have to go digging to see how long ago 📅 them little guys were venturing out. SO.... A question: do you know how long it takes for them to leave the nest? Another question AND... if they will reuse that same nest with repetition?... Yeah, they are so cute - their cute is even cute. I am positive some have made it - the adults (for contrast) are very accustomed to me. They have alot of faith in their trust of me... (in contrast) these juveniles are heavy hopper and skittish in the bushes. So, some of the babes made it for sure.

@@e.s.l.1083 momma bunny might come back to use the same location. We had one do it for two years, then she moved on. Baby bunnies should be out of the nest and area around 3 weeks or so.

@@BriansArtforAnimals ty, so much I will keep a eye 👁 on the spot - and continue to give the yard a tickle of attention before I mow - the nest is right in the middle of the yard. ty so much, for the info and kind response. Congratulations on your successful habitats of bunny's in your area, by the way 🐰

Not sure as they have to establish a spot first..but once nest is made you can put some sort of marker near it, so you know the location.

It was safely moved across the roadway....i wanted to show how quick they bite. So be VERY careful if you ever need to help one cross the street and you can only pick it up from behind if you have no tools, or branches to use.
