Bro, is it me or whenever the doors are about to close, this one dude be risking their lives to get the doors to open

In my case it is usually because I am chasing the 6 for a connection. As befitting a train designated 6, it seems like that one is always making me rush 😅

About 90% of people who runs to their trains are good hardworking citizens who don't rob, steal and murder people. They are good citizens.

I remember running to trains a lot when i lived in Melbourne. It was 20min between trains but on Weekends its longer. 20 years and 2 million more people it might be different now.

Melbourne trains... I've heard stories.

That 31 minutes isnt even guarenteed. I used to live in far rockaway and trying to catch the A train there was impossible. Id sometimes get told id need to get off at the JFK airtrain and wait 10 minutes... that 10 minutes would frequently turn into 2 hours... during the winter months. It sucked

I never run to the train. There is always another one just a few minutes behind. I learned to live peacefully in a very chaotic city.

That can be dangerous though. There was one woman who even lost her bag putting in between doors. The bag got stuck in the door, the door never reopened and the train took off.

I visit NYC quite often, and I remember one night, there was some track work. No worries, I descent into the station and I see I needed to wait 20 minutes for the next Q train. I thought to myself, Manhattan is literally more dense than most parts of Beijing (where I used to live), and there trains ran every 2 minutes. America, stop making excuses, your cities are dense enough. Your policies are just garbage.

I lived in Connecticut for a while, used to go to China town at least monthly to buy Chinese groceries. It's a good city to visit, but there is no way I would live there. Too many big city problems.
