Thank you for posting this! Oh, what a scene ❤ What everyone had been waiting for - the official start to Maggie & Richard's love story. Actually, Susan Sullivan (the actor who played Maggie) came up with the idea of making them an item on the show and pitched it to the writers. She said it would show the old story where sometimes women think that all a "bad boy" needs is the love of a good woman to help him down the right path. That all they need is true love to change their spots. When the sad reality is that no one can make someone magically become a different person. Not even Maggie. Even finally getting the true love of his life and trying, Richard could never really change. Life had hardened him to where he could never truly trust someone 100%. What a storyline! So real - beautifully heartbreaking.

I was disappointed in the last season. It should have gone off the air in season 8. It was disappointed that Maggie was killed off during this season. The lady who married Richard never had any chemistry with him in season 9. Maybe, they should have put Maggie in a coma, along with Angela and then have Maggie and Richard renew their vows and then have Angela give her speech. It is too bad they killed off so many beloved characters during the series run.
