It's a 360 camera on the end of a selfie stick that extends out from the bumper. You might be able to see the shadow of the stick in some shots. Thanks for your comment!

What offset are you running on your wheels?
@kayloradventureАй бұрын
Hi, -38mm offset or 3.5" backspacing, they sit way out there which I like for providing body clearance and stability off-camber.

I went down this 2xs. the first 1979, was successful, driving a Baja Bug, although the doors were tweaked a little afterwards. The second, 1987, was with a Meyers Manx fiberglass buggy. Tore the spring plate out. I think it was already cracked. Had to trailer it out. The squeeze will damage larger jeeps if not careful.

Awesome vid. I want to explore that pass and a few hopefully easier paths someday. But when it comes to Google or Apple maps, yeah learned long time ago if it directs you to a questionable route, I'll stop and bring up the map and look for alternate ones. As this could have been far worse for them. They were lucky you were there.
@launchone2606 ай бұрын
Just like FJ cruisers. Stock FJ's and Broncos can't rock crawl to many trips before they break. TRUTH. You need to carry spares with you on every trip. I dont think even the after-market stuff will hold up with time. Overlanding and Mall Crawling is all they can do stock.

I hope you have a great time! I'm going to caution you though, I tore my passenger mirror off and damaged the door going through the Squeeze on this same run despite being careful. If you have wide tires it's almost impossible to get through without body damage. In hindsight I should have taken the door completely off. Tell me how it goes!

How often do you have to change out skid plates? Some of those rocks look sharp.
@kayloradventure9 ай бұрын
I don't land on the center plates very often, but the rock sliders on each side have huge dents where they did their job. Fortunately, those are OEM and people sell them for cheap because they usually get replaced with steps or after-market.

First of all, Ridge Grapples are not designed for rock crawling. There an overland tire. That’s why there quite on the pavement. Yea, they do great off road, but not on the rocks. Factors are, airing down, using lockers & knowing how to drive!

I have some Nitto Terra Grappler G2 A/T which is similar to the Ridge Grappler on my JLUR and yes, they are not for that type of off road use. here in Louisiana where it is wet most of the time and when mud gets into the grooves it will spin and spin, no traction at all. Nitto Trail Grappler M/T is better for that.
